About this property

Stunning View of Ensenada Bay

A whale breached right in front of our eyes on the first visit to our home, so we named it Casa Ballena, Whale House. Off the beaten path, house sits on a bluff-top spot offering breathtaking 180 degree views from Ensenada to Todos Santos Island. The house is fully stocked, WIFI, satellite TV, fireplace, hot showers, and a user friendly kitchen. Big glass doors and windows give great views from all rooms, and the expansive L-shaped patio outside with a gas grill lets you soak it all in in style.

Open living room and kitchen with soothing blue ocean and sky views. Moroccan rugs, original art. The master has a king bed, en suite bathroom, large closet. The second bedroom has full bed, queen bed, large bathroom. Wood is provided for fireplace. Overhead fans in all rooms. Outdoor gas grill. Beautiful garden, bird feeder to attract quail, scrub jays, doves, board games and books.

And of course, the blue water and sky view all around you that makes Casa Ballena peaceful, yet an energizing home away from home.

My other passion was to live near the beach, which I finally accomplished 15 years ago. Gratefully, I now live in Leucadia, Ca! Passions 3, 4, and 5, in a mixed order is our grandchildren, traveling and gardening.

Why they chose this property

Five years ago we visited a friend that lives in Baja and fell in love with the area. We found the perfect house, Casa Ballena, for the view, but also that it had tons of new space for us to garden.

What makes this property unique

The view from Casa Ballena fills the house with ever-changing light. From afar we get to see ships come and go through the bay to the Ensenada harbor. We can watch whales, dolphins, seals, and fish boils from the house and the deck. At night the lights of Ensenda twinkle across the bay. And the sunrise is epic.
