My place is in a quiet neighborhood, a 10 minute drive or 20 minute bus ride to downtown Portland or Beaverton. It's set in a forested area that you won't believe is a few hundred feet from a main thoroughfare. It features a convenience kitchenette (no oven, but it has a hot plate, microwave, sink, dishes, cutlery, pots and pans, etc.), comfortable beds, and quiet, private creek-side setting. It's great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families with one or two (if they can share a bed) kids.

The owner asked me to leave after spending two nights there. I had no idea, that he did not want smoking anywhere on the property. I do NOT smoke. My brother who came to visit did outside. He did not litter or anything. I think it was very unfair of him to ask me to leave. He could have just given me a warning. I am very easy to get along with. If I would have known that he did not want smoking on the property I would not have rented. Even though I do not smoke, I would have not wanted a situation that I ended up with. I find this very unfair, and very timid about renting from HomeAway again.

Excellent Getaway: Clean, Quiet
My friend and I stayed here for a few days, and it was perfect! We wanted a nice, quiet place that was just outside of downtown Portland. Jim, our host, was very accommodating and greeted us shortly after we arrived, just to make sure we had everything we needed and to let him know if we need anything else. The place was clean, neat, simple, and spacious for 2 people.
