About this property
Riverfront Beach Cottage in Downtown Bend
Spring Ski Special! April dates with special pricing have just opened up! Take a look!
My Riverfront Beach Cottage is a charming 1940’s era 2-bedroom, 2-bath house fully remodeled with all the modern amenities. It’s a roomy 1400 s.f. featuring an open and airy living space with vaulted ceilings and skylights. Out front there is offstreet parking for 2 vehicles in the driveway and a small covered porch. Inside is everything you need for the perfect Bend vacation. But the best part is the back yard set right on the Deschutes River with a sandy beach and a dock!
My house couldn’t be more perfectly situated on the east bank of the Deschutes River in the heart of Bend. Riverfront Street is a quiet, friendly cul-du-sac that is actually part of the River Trail that connects Downtown to the Old Mill. You can walk, bike or paddle to everything! And here is a pretty tough stat to beat: there are 12 yoga studios, 13 bike shops and 17 brewpubs within a 2-mile radius!
Meander downriver through historic Drake Park to vibrant downtown Bend where you can sip a Black Butte Porter at Deschutes Brewery or an Outback Ale at Bend Brewing, browse the art galleries, enjoy international cuisine or take in a world-class event at the Tower Theatre. Or stroll upriver past the whitewater park to the Old Mill where you can enjoy a concert at Hayden Homes Amphitheater, dine by the river, buy gear at REI or catch a movie at the Regal. Or just pop around the corner to up-and-coming Galveston Street where you can choose your feast from the food carts at The Lot, taste an IPA at Ten Barrel or Sunriver Brewing, rent a bike at Hutch’s or recover from it all at Namaspa Yoga.
Within striking distance, there is so much to do in any season. In winter, ski at Mt. Bachelor, snowshoe up Tumalo Mountain or go ice skating at the Pavilion just across the river. In spring, ski in the morning and play pickleball or golf in the afternoon. Fall is a great time to mountain bike Phil’s Trail, hike South Sister or climb at Smith Rock.
And then there’s summer. Why go anywhere else when you can simply relax by the river, margarita in hand, toes in the sand and watch the endless parade of ducks, geese, otters, beavers, fish, paddleboarders, kayakers and floaters? You can paddle right from the dock up to to Bend Whitewater Park and go surfing! Pocket Beach is my secret gem at the water’s edge inviting you with soft white sand from the Oregon Coast, Adirondack chairs, shady beach umbrellas and a firepit.

About the host
Hosted by Pam Stevenson

I've lived in Bend for 25 years. I am a retired business consultant to start-up companies and now I am a professional pickleball player and coach. In the winters I teach in Mexico. In my spare time I like to paddle from my backyard, hike with my dog and get out on my mountain or road bike. I am happy to share my knowledge of all the awesome trails we have here in Central Oregon!
Why they chose this property
I love my hood. It just doesn't get any better than being in the middle of everything and on the river!
What makes this property unique
The river!
