About the host
Hosted by James Nyfeler
I live in Dallas, TX , but spent many years living abroad as a child. I have always loved Europe, and my goal was to buy a home in the south of France where I will spend my retirement years. Since I am years away, I spend 2-3 months a year at Maison Narbonne, and I am able to give others the opportunity to enjoy it as well. So enjoy my home, and I wish you love it as much as I do.
Why they chose this property
I chose Narbonne because of its location to the sea, great cheap wine, and of course close to Spain which I love as well. Narbonne is just big enough with 55,000 people but still small to feel like a traditional French southern town. Narbonne has everything you would ever need and more including beautiful French architecture, great restaurants all within walking distance of our house and a short 10 minute drive to vineyards and the Med! It is adult Disneyland!
What makes this property unique
This home is so meticulously restored and it was turn key so I could not pass. The sunroom with windows on two sides looking out at the pool and garden is my favorite part of the home. It is also located in the BEST and most quiet neighborhood of Narbonne so sleeping with the windows open is gorgeous with the nice Mediterranean climate.
