HISTORIC DISTRICT: 1st Floor Primary, Great Location and Views!

The Cape Charles Beach Bungalow, features a 1st floor primary suite! This 3 bedroom (+ sleeping loft), 2.5 bath (+ outside shower) home is located in the Historic District, providing sunset views from the comfort of the covered front porch. Decorated in clean, simple Old Cape Charles Style, no detail has been overlooked! All furnishings are new, or carefully restored - not grandma's hand-me-downs!

The Cape Charles Beach Bungalow features a downstairs primary suite with a full bath, queen bed and smart TV. The open living, dining and kitchen areas allow for easy first floor living. A luxury sectional sofa maximizes seating around a wall-mounted smart TV. The dining table seats 7-8, plus seating for 4 at the kitchen island. The fully stocked and equipped kitchen includes under-cabinet lighting, brightening prep areas. Recessed lights (inside and outside) are controlled by dimmers, allowing for individualized lighting control. Also downstairs, a 1/2 bath is directly inside the front door/covered porch. As a newly built home, there are lots of conveniently located electrical outlets.

Located upstairs are two private bedrooms + a sleeping loft/secondary living area. One private bedroom has a queen bed and one private bedroom has two twin beds. The sleeping loft has two double/full platform beds (perfect for kids & teens), as well as another smart TV. The upstairs rooms share a full bath, with plenty of hooks for towels. All beds have new mattresses and lots of pillows. Solid surface flooring downstairs, carpeting upstairs.

Outside, rinse off in the corrugated metal shower before enjoying a swing in the mature, tree-shaded back yard. Enjoy sunset views from the comfort of the covered front porch!

As seen in the photos, the beach is located at the top of Washington Avenue, a direct walk or cart ride from the Bungalow. Renting a golf cart? A dedicated outlet to recharge your ride is conveniently located on the front corner of the home.

This child friendly home also includes: Wi-Fi + Cable, Washer/Dryer, Pack N Play, Toddler Mattress (w/sheets), Portable High Chair, Children's Step-Stools, Children's Toys, Board Games/DVDs/Books, Beach Towels (10 - Guest must launder, if used ), Outdoor Gas Grill, Toaster, Crock-pot, Blender, Traditional Coffeepot & Keurig, Small Food Processor, Hairdryers (2), Iron/Ironing Board.

Bath towels and bed linens are provided. Upon arrival, guests will receive a starter bag of dishwasher pods, laundry pods, trash bags and a new kitchen sponge. Each bathroom will have a new roll of toilet paper and hand soap. The kitchen will have a roll of paper towels, liquid dish soap and hand soap.

No pets, no smoking (strictly enforced).

The Cape Charles Beach Bungalow is on a quiet block of year-round residents. Please be considerate of our neighbors. This home is suitable for families and mature adults only.

The location was perfect. It was very quiet and peaceful and within walking distance to the shops and restaurants.The house was comfortable with a pleasant layout to accommodate our needs. Was my first time coming to Cape Charles. I was in town with friends for a wedding, and we absolutely loved our stay in Cape Charles! Quiet house in a cute beach town

This house is cute, quiet, and clean. It's on a quiet street with an easy walk or ride to the beach. The town itself is easy to navigate by golf cart or walking. The house has everything we need for our stay. It is very comfortable and has plenty of space for our young family. We really enjoyed our time in Cape Charles.

Beautiful home

We loved everything about this! Very nicely furnished house, everything you need! It was our first visit to Cape Charles, and enjoyed using our golf cart to explore the shops, bakeries, and ice cream shops.

An absolute must stay!

Such an incredible home with amazing neighbors, great beach location, and so cute. Kitchen was stocked with everything we could need - even a sewing kit for when my dress strap broke! Communication was great with the host, and everything was comfortable and clean! We will definitely be back!

Great trip

Overall the Family trip was great. Nice location to the beach. Beach is perfect for small children. Golf cart rental was great, too. House was nice and well equipped. Few suggestions: A few shelves in closet area of kitchen to put dry goods/food items. We had to set them on the counter. It worked but lost counter space to work. Maybe get information on house and rules a bit earlier than the week prior to trip. Everything else was wonderful. Thanks again.

Great Family Week at Cape Charles

We were very pleased with our decision to stay here. The house is very well stocked with just about every household need you can think of. Check-in was a breeze and on time. Everything was clean and it was obvious that the cleaning was thorough. We've stayed at other houses in Cape Charles in years past and always had to be very careful with ants in and around the kitchen during the week, not the case here as we never had an issue. Everything was very comfortable and the flexibility in the bedrooms/beds for our group worked out perfectly. Having the loft with beds is great for kids while adults can still get the privacy of bedrooms. We did rent a golf cart while there and the house had easy access to outlets for charging. We really enjoyed everything about this house and hope to return for future vacations.

Week at Cape Charles Bungalow with family

We loved the bungalow. It was clean, well stocked and beautifully decorated. We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the mornings and evenings watching the geese. It’s located on a quiet street with great neighbors next door. We rented a golf but also enjoyed walking to bakery and coffee shop in the morning. The weather during our week was beautiful. The cape Charles bungalow was a great house to stay in for the week!

It is a nice location across from a walking path to Cape Charles beach

The location was great if you are looking for something that isn't too pricey but still nice with the private park, across the street, that you can walk along to get to the beach. It was a nice place that I think would be good for anyone going to Cape Charles. The owners were easy to work with and communicative.

Wow!

Wow - this bungalow has it all! Plenty of room for family and friends, great layout, beautiful decor, and the well-equipped kitchen has EVERYTHING - down to coffee filters, zip-lock bags, and plastic storage containers. We especially liked the first-floor master suite, and the half bath on the first floor was super convenient for the kids. The front porch was wonderful for coffee in the morning, or sunsets in the evening - all this just a short walk or golf-cart ride to the beach! Lindsay was friendly and super-responsive - answered all our questions quickly - great owners to work with! We highly recommend the Cape Charles Beach Bungalow - we already reserved our week for next year! :D

Dreamy Front Porch

This charming cottage offered a clean and comfortable space. Short walk to the beach with a safe, oversized side walk for the kids to scoot down. The kitchen has everything yours would have at home and made cooking there easy, down to spices and coffee filters (which we had forgotten). Our children liked their own living/bed area in the loft and they loved the backyard swing. The laundry area was perfect with plenty of hooks and hangers. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunsets from the front porch and chatting with the neighbors. Lindsay made everything easy and responded quickly when I had a question. Will certainly suggest this cottage to all friends looking for a fabulous rental in Cape Charles!

Enjoyable vacation at a beautiful beach house

This beach house was perfect for our vacation. It had everything in it that that you could possibly need. I think the owner thought of everything. It was clean , comfortable and decorated beautifully. It looked like a model home. Great location, not far from the beach. It’s about a 5 minute walk. We will definitely be back.

Great Place

The house was very clean and we'll stocked. Close proximity to everything you'd want to do in Cape Charles. It was a little chilly while we were there so we didn't get to spend much time on the beach or in the water, but hope to go back one day when it's warmer. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Quaint home

The village of Cape Charles is very charming and the location of Lindsay's property is walking distance to the town and beach. I will verify the majority of past reviews as the home is very clean and it has everything needed for a weekend get-away. Her decorative skills are impressive. We visited in mid-December when weather is unpredictable and it was near 70 when we arrived and cold and rainy a day later which was fine as the home is cozy.

Wonderful stay in Cape Charles!

We just returned from a wonderful week in Cape Charles! The house was perfect for our family- wonderful location and gorgeous home! Lindsay was so friendly and helpful in suggesting activities for us as first timers. The house was so clean and spacious, and we appreciated all of the toys, beach towels, beach chairs, and well-stocked kitchen. We fell in love with Cape Charles and certainly will be back.

Cute Beach Town Cottage

We loved this property for our friends golf and beach getaway. The cottage is adorable with its beachy colors and accessories. Immaculately clean and well kept. Everything we needed for bed, bath, and kitchen was at our finger tips. A cute neighborhood close to beach and downtown shops and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again for our Cape Charles getaways.

Why they chose this property

While searching for a family-oriented beach with calm surf, we stumbled upon this gem of a town - Cape Charles - the best discovery we have ever made! Within hours we fell in love with the town known as Mayberry on the Beach - it’s relaxed atmosphere, stunning sunsets, community-oriented residents, golf carts, ice cream shops, tasty restaurants, brewery, cidery and distillery, and plethora of 4-legged friends! Dreams of our very own, quaint beach bungalow started brewing. And within a short period of time, we took the plunge and purchased a piece of sandy paradise. Since then, we haven’t been able to stop telling family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, everyone (!), about this magical place named Cape Charles.
We break ground on the Cape Charles Beach Bungalow in the Fall of 2018. By Spring of 2019, the Bungalow will be built, accepting reservations for the Late Spring/Summer of 2019.
