Renovated Single Family Home: Walking distance to BEACH and CAPE CHARLES HISTORIC DISTRICT and CENTRAL PARK Our renovated, 1906, Queen Anne Victorian is in the heart of Cape Charles Historic District. Located on a quiet, Crepe Myrtle-lined Street, just two blocks from shops and restaurants on Mason Avenue, a short walk to the Chesapeake Bay/Beach, and just steps from Central Park, Cape Breeze Retreat is a quintessential beach vacation home!

Cape Breeze Retreat is an ideal home for true relaxation. Just park your car for the duration of your stay because you won’t need it! Most vacationers find renting a golf cart the perfect way to navigate and enjoy the quaint town. Others simply prefer walking as everything you need is within a few blocks!

While relaxing from Cape Breeze Retreat’s FRONT PORCH SWING, Rocking Chairs, or dining table on one of the two porches, we recommend that our guests follow our “Porch Rules”:

Outside, there is a large fenced in backyard with a garden, patio set, bench, and a small goldfish pond. An outdoor shower makes it easy to shower your family off after a day at the beach. A new HVAC system will keep you cool and comfortable on even the hottest days!

As one of the larger homes in the district, you will find ample space with modern cottage house décor.

The first floor welcomes you into a large foyer which includes a hand-carved newel post, a bench seat and waiting area. Cape Breeze Retreat offers a large newly renovated, fully stocked kitchen which includes a coffee/tea bar, a new half bathroom, and separate mud and laundry rooms. Beach goers can park their golf cart in the provided “cart” driveway, take a shower or rinse off outside, and enter through the back porch.

A large dining table sits next to a fireplace which seats 8 comfortably with 2 more additional chairs. Adjacent Bar seating accommodates another 4.

Additionally, there is a living room with a large sectional, smart television, games, puzzles, and books for your enjoyment.

On the second floor you will find three bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master suite has a large bathroom and a queen-size bed. The second bedroom has a canopy queen-size bed, while the third bedroom has a twin-size bed over a full-size bunkbed with an additional twin over twin bunkbed.

The beautifully illuminated, natural light, third level has 2 more bedrooms and another bathroom. We call this space the “Crow’s Nest”! One room houses two twin beds, while the other has a queen bed, therefore sleeping another 4 people. Additionally, the third floor offers a newly renovated shiplap, lounge space and another television. Two hammock chairs are available to relax in as well! More games, puzzles, and books are available, but more kid-friendly options.

For your convenience, beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, and a heavy duty, large-wheel, beach wagon are provided for your use.

Cape Charles has a way of stimulating your senses and capturing your heart. My husband, two children, and I feel in love with the town and its people from our very first visit. We hope that you are as captivated by the charm of this lovely, historic, beach community as we are!
