Located on Blue Island Inn's quiet main floor, Waterfront "Mermaid's Retreat" features 1 queen bedroom, 1 bathroom, kitchen, 2 sofa sleepers & Spectacular Lemon Bay views! Manasota Key! On-site pool. 5-minute walk to ocean-side beach & enjoy sandy “Bay Beach” out back. Policies: 1 parking spot. no visitor parking. No pets. No smoking. No boats. Low-key respectful vacationers. Free shared use of 2 kayaks. Cottage-size cute & cozy -ideal for 1 couple or small family as bathroom is off bedroom.
FREE AMENITIES GALORE!
Each of our places has a free high-speed WIFI, Beach towels, folding beach chairs, Sand toy set & all linens provided. Charcoal grills (guest to provide own charcoal). Free use of our laundry room on main floor.
Free shared use of swimming pool, Bay-front beach area, Fishing Dock, outdoor seating, outdoor Ping-Pong table, and self-serve Tiki Bar area.
Free shared use of our kayaks (for age 21 & up) to explore picturesque Lemon Bay. Dolphins often spotted.
Free high-speed WIFI. Keurig-style coffee maker & we also offer traditional coffee maker.
Like hotels - we supply "starter supplies" - toilet paper, folded paper towels, sample size coffee, tea, etc. to get you going -- then there's a Dollar Tree nearby or grocery stores if you want additional supplies.

Blue Island Inn includes 5 waterfront Suites of various sizes - each Suite enjoys a great view of picturesque Lemon Bay. Blue Island Inn offers shared use of a variety of desirable common areas including: Sandy "Bay Beach" area out back, 2 kayaks, tropical swimming pool, self-serve tiki bar, Dock for fishing/enjoying Bay Views (firmly no boat docking), outdoor ping pong, and laundry room.
Quick 1 minute drive to five popular family-friendly Key restaurants near the big Englewood beach with live tropical music, very popular free beach yoga classes, reasonably priced water sports rentals – parasailing, sunset cruises etc. 2 mile drive to number 1 ranked attraction of stump pass state beach park - a natural wonderland. Lots more restaurants & shops along Dearborn & nearby Historic Venice Avenue. Stumpy's Free Ride - a tip-based shuttle service - is popular with our guests. Enjoy!

Mermaid’s Retreat is on the first floor of the charming Blue Island Inn on a quiet, safe, relaxing nice island street. You will receive a 4 digit code - along with the vacation villa address - to your entrance door which work on your dates so you don't need to worry about keys! super easy! ONE car parking spot (there's no other parking & I don't have other safe parking ideas that aren't a high TOW RISK - so please only plan to bring one car or choose another property. )

We feel Manasota Key is one of the best kept secrets of special beach vacation escapes. There is so much to do nearby or you can kick back with your favorite tropical beverage and do nothing at all as dolphins jump in the Bay a few feet away!
