Three Weeks in Perigord

We had a wonderful three week stay, with family able to join us for some of the time. The property is in a beautiful position, was very comfortable and met all our needs. The owners were helpful and friendly. A true faste of France.

Domaine De La Villotte, Plaisance

This was a wonderful setting and extremely peaceful. Amazing views of the countryside. Sophie and Jean-Marc were very accommodating. The villages of Issigeac and Eymet are beautiful and only 10 minutes away by car. Bergerac is also well worth a visit and is nearby. Thank you Sophie and Jean-Marc.

Brilliant holiday!

We had great time staying at La Villotte in Plaisance! The house/villa was very clean, spacious, and well provided for, as was the garden. Kitchen facilities & BBQ were great. We also played a LOT of Ping Pong in the barn; a lot of music all over the place; and endless hours in the pool. The fans helped with the heat. Sophie & Jean-Marc are exceptionally courteous & generous hosts, and the property is lovely. I would recommend this property to anyone.

Beautiful property

We have just returned from a very relaxing 10 day stay, the well equipped property and it’s surroundings were beautiful, there was a well stocked lake which was a delight to fish in, we also saw a lot of wildlife. There were quite a few small pretty villages nearby with weekly markets and bigger towns such as Bergerac a 20 mins drive. There were large supermarkets about 20 mins away too which we found useful to stock up but there were a few grocery stores a 6 min drive if we forgot anything. The owners were very helpful and greeted us on our arrival and were on hand to sort any queries. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property to anyone thinking of staying here!

Perfect stay and exceptional swimming pool

We had an excellent stay with this friendly host. We stayed in the house with our family, 4 kids. The house is big and the kitchen is well equiped. All the beds were very good as well! But the best part of our stay was the swimming pool. It is very big and in a perfect setting with nice views. We were also v surprised by the landlords son who offered all of our kids a ride on his quad. The kids are still talking about that! There are lovely villages and castles nearby so enough to see as well. We hope to come back one day, Thanks Sophie and family!

Wonderful property

The property is absolutely wonderful and is in the most glorious location Surrounded by fields of sunflowers with deer and wild boar we were in heaven. My boys throughly enjoyed rowing in the boat on the lake and hunting for crayfish in the stream that sat alongside the house. The owners were lovely and friendly and gave us totally privacy. The pool is lovely, big and clean and we spent many hours playing in the water. I would absolutely return here next time that we are in the region. I would suggest a small addition to the VRBO listing though that states that this is a private pool. It is also used by the owners and their family. They did vacate as soon as they could see that we wanted to use it, but they do class it as a communal pool.

Wonderful peaceful slice of paradise

We stayed here for a week with our four young children. The house is a great size for a weeks holiday, it has a very well equipped kitchen and a large bathroom. It’s worth noting that there is no toilet upstairs, which isn’t mentioned in the listing and can be an issue with much younger children who are up at night to use the toilet! There is a lovely seating area and bbq outside where we ate every lunch and we really enjoyed the pool, which although shared with the owner and his son who also lives on site, was really quiet and peaceful and we were there alone 99% of the time. The house is surrounded by beautiful fields and huge open spaces. The closest village Issigeac is one of the prettiest villages in the area with an excellent market and Bergerac was 20 mins away and well worth a visit too. We had a wonderful stay and wouldn’t hesitate to go back, Sophie and her husband are really friendly and welcoming but also very discreet and left us to enjoy their wonderful holiday house.

Très bonne semaine en Dordogne

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine à la Villotte ! La maison est très propre et pratique. Sa localisation est idéale, à quelques minutes d'Issigeac, son marché, ses restaurants et ses jolies boutiques de déco. La maison est située à côté de celle des propriétaires, très accueillants et discrets, qui nous ont laissé un accès préférentiel à la piscine durant toute la semaine ce qui était très appréciable. Le parc est très beau, on peut y faire de belles ballades et il y a un joli lac sur lequel il y a une petite barque à disposition. Seul bémol, le jardin "privé" de la maison n'est pas très grand, nous n'y avons pas passé de temps en dehors des repas. Bonus du jardin : sa plancha ! Merci encore pour cette belle semaine en Dordogne.

un domaine exceptionnel

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour au domaine de Villotte. Domaine situé en plein milieu de la nature, site au calme, pour un repos complet. Maison très agréable avec tout ce qu'il faut pour passer de bon moment dans un cadre champêtre, matière noble, une maison de pierre exceptionnelle qui malgré la chaleur caniculaire de cet été nous a permis de dormir au frais.La piscine est exceptionnelle, et nous avons eu la chance d'en bénéficié seul car les propriétaires nous ont confié leur domaine durant leurs vacances, merci de leur confiance. le seul bémol, pas grand chose à faire sur la région si vous êtes a fond dans les visites et activités à moins de faire entre 1h30 de 2h de voiture. Heureusement le domaine nous a permis de nous relaxer entre amis, partie de ping pong, piscine, boules, balades etc...Nous vous recommandons ce site et pensons y revenir pour d'autres séjours.

Un séjour parfait en famille

Accueil très agréable, logis parfait pour un séjour en famille. La piscine privative à été une bénédiction en cette période de canicule. La nature avoisinante était généreuse et les petits enfants s en sont donné à cœur joie. Nous sommes très satisfaits de ce séjour que nous recommandons vivement.

Belle expérience dans le sud de la Dordogne

Très beau cadre entre champs, étangs et bastides pleines de charme pour cette belle maison de vacances tout confort et bien équipée avec accès piscine et jardin privé. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par les propriétaires très disponibles, excursions intéressantes dans les environs. C’était un endroit idéal pour rayonner à travers le sud de la Dordogne !

Un été décevant

Un souci de communication et un désaccord avec les propriétaires qui nous ont réclamé le paiement d’un parasol de piscine (qui a malheureusement été cassé par une rafale de vent) a gâché le séjour. Tout ceci aurait été compréhensible dans une maison sans remarques additionnelles, mais … ce ne fut pas vraiment le cas. Nous avons eu des éviers bouchés, un nid de guêpes, des soirées dehors sans lumières adéquates et nous étions vraiment très serrés dans cette maison à 6. A noter pour les voyageurs : la piscine est partagée avec les hôtes ou leur famille quand ils sont présents.
