Joyce was welcoming and responsive when we had a question. The cabin is old but it was clean and everything worked as it should. We love the location and that it is also pet friendly. Our dogs enjoyed the stay as much as we did. This was our second time staying at Bishops Bay, we will be returning.
Everything was good for the stay. The only issue was getting boat backed in. Anything longer than 21 foot boat may not fit. Other than that this is a very nice place to stay and awesome view.

Hi Joel!
I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay! Come back to see us again!
Thank you!!
Our stay was absolutely wonderful. I love rustic and this was rustic with a lot of character. I live how the house was decorated. The views of the lake were absolutely breathtaking. The sunrise on the lake was soothing. The beds were comfortable. Some might take issue that some things are dated and need some work. The beauty and rustic vibes totally made it for us. We will stay here again.

Thank you so much!!
This was our first time here and we absolutely will be back!! The view is beautiful. We loved sitting out by the fire pit at night. It was very comfortable. There were books and games for my son to read and play with which he loved! Only complaint I have is I couldn’t stay longer!!

Host was responsive and polite. House was older and could use some updated amenities. Property was peaceful and beautiful this time of year. House was clean but older. Had to hunt for 3 prong outlets, fans were older and in need of some updating and working light bulbs. Bathroom needs a new shower curtain, probably a curved one as the tub area is very confining. But the stay was nice and cozy and we had a good time. Would stay again, we are just spoiled city folk.

We had a wonderful time! This is our third visit. The home is older but is very comfortable. The view of the water is perfect and the deck and patio are great for bird watching. We have observed Eagles nesting each time we have visited as well as many water fowl, backyard birds and owls. The bed was also very comfortable! We look forward to returning soon. The bathroom has some recent damage but the owner is addressing that. Ms. Bishop communicates well and is available if needed. This home is perfect for our needs. We appreciate getting to enjoy the peaceful environment and simple restful privacy this home offers.

The view was gorgeous. My daughters had a great time fishing off the dock. The home was older and needs some maintenance and a deep clean, but it was comfortable and worked for us. There was a problem with the coffeemaker the first morning and the owner worked diligently to fix the issue. The kids are already asking when we’re going back.
For me the shower was just gross. Old shower curtain with unwashed plastic liner unexceptionable. Place was comfortable and clean but home needs lots of work. Lights in living room one light bulb worked out of 5 and the kitchen lights did not work (the manager offered to have son come look at them but we declined and grabbed a lamp from the living room). Great location on the lake.

Hi Denice.
I’m sorry you weren’t satisfied with the cottage. I don’t know what you mean by the shower being gross. There is nothing gross about it. The light bulbs have been replaced, but there is nothing wrong with the kitchen light. There is a simple light switch that I mentioned to you and a second switch on the other side of the kitchen as the light can be controlled from either side of the room.
We had a great time, it was quiet and secluded. Rustic, older cottage, great classic decor. Exactly what me and my brother look for in fishing trips. Wonderful and courteous communication from homeowner, will definitely keep on the list of places to stay again.

This was an older property but exceptionally clean, very comfortable, furnishings and beds and right on the water in one of the prime Fishing locations on Lake Guntersville. Property owner was very responsive and kept us informed prior to in during our trip.

Secluded and peaceful property. Dock had all kinds of little fish biting around it. Wildlife such as birds frogs and turtles were in abundance. Great little cove spot in a big open part of the lake.

Hi Jessica!
Thank you so much for staying with us! I’m sorry glad glad you had a great time!!!
Quiet neighborhood away from the busy cities but not too far of a drive to shopping and restaurants. Driveway is tight turning in with a large boat and cricle drive is tight turning a large boat around. House did sustain some storm damage before we arrived, that we was made aware of beforehand. Once repairs are made it will be a very inexpensive nice place to stay on the lake.
The house was comfortable and felt like home , the host was wonderful and response really quickly !
