Thank you for your kind review Ross (although for those reading this, it's actually a queen bed! Maybe it seems bigger because it's so comfy!). We hope to host you and your family again next year!
Sue
The home was beautifully appointed and exactly as shown in the photos. The kitchen was well-stocked with a great variety of pans, utensils, and dishes. Everyone found the beds to be very comfortable, and the décor was stylish and inviting. Check-in and check-out were simple and hassle-free. We truly enjoyed our stay.

What a treat to stay at this house. The large living space was open and the kitchen well equipped. We enjoyed the hot tub, and spacious yard. Would definitely recommend.

This was our second time staying at Homewood Haven and we couldn’t have had a better trip. The house was clean, well stocked and provided the perfect setup for a much needed week long getaway. Already looking forward to when we can return.

We had a relaxing stay. The house is well stocked and walking distance to many things including the rubicon trail and chambers landing beach/ bar. We unfortunately went on a rainy summer weekend, but the fireplace and hot tub kept us warm.

Thank you for your kind words Meghan! I'm sorry about the rain (on Labor Day weekend -- who would've thought?), but glad that you enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub to keep you warm and comfy! We hope to host you again someday!
Sue
We loved the house and had a great stay with our adult kids. The open, upstairs living space is perfect for hanging out together cooking, eating and lounging on the deck. The kitchen is very well stocked. The bedrooms were comfortable and worked perfectly for our crowd. Thanks for the great stay!
I've stayed in many home rentals ~ Homewood Haven was by far one of the best! The owner replied quickly to all of my questions and she was very accommodating! The home was well equipped and had many amenities.

Nice home in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance to Lake Tahoe beach and several trails. Short drive to local restaurants and several beach areas and water activities. We even saw a brown bear in the neighborhood.

Response from VrboOwner on 4 Aug, 2022
Thank you Genevieve! I'm glad you enjoyed our home :) The bear you saw may have been brown in color, however, we don't have brown bears in Tahoe (aka grizzly bears). Black bears are the only species of bear found in the Tahoe basin -- and yep, many of them are brown, some cinnamon and some have black fur -- and they're all snack hounds!
Beautifully maintained home on Tahoe’s west shore. Our family enjoyed the location. Close to activities but still quiet. We even saw a bear on one of our evening walks. Hosts were great. The whole experience had us longing for our own Tahoe retreat.

This is a beautiful cabin set in a nice quiet neighborhood. It's clean, spacious and close to hiking trails and a short drive to Tahoe City and the beach. The cabin comes fully stocked with anything you need. Me and my family sure enjoyed it, especially that wonderful hot tub! We'll be booking with Sue again for sure! 😃

This property was beautiful, clean and well cared for. Beds were comfortable, kitchen stocked, with ice maker & coffee grinder. Plenty of towels, & a nice hot tub. We had two bears come through the yard while playing the corn hole game that was provided, that was exciting! Sue responded very quickly to any communication. Great host, left wine & cookies too!

Sue
We enjoyed our stay at Homewood Haven, was a great set up for our family with the hot tub, back yard games and open floor plan. The location was great, central on the west side of the lake to many different things. We never did walk to the beach from the house as I wasn't sure where beach access was and just easier to drive with all our people and kids. Nice house, all set up for our stay - only thing we really had to get was toilet paper since they only provide a couple rolls. Recommend!

Thank you for your kind words Shawna! I'm glad you enjoyed the house, the backyard and the proximity to adventure! We'd love to host you and your family again someday!
Sue
P.S. re: TP -- we provide two rolls per bathroom to get you started, along with a lot of extras not found in other vacation rentals like spices, foil, baggies, napkins, paper towels, beach chairs, sand toys, a cooler, a picnic basket, lawn games and sleds. :)
We loved our stay. The hot tub and outdoor area that has been nicely redone was our favorite part + walking distance to Chambers Beach and close to so many other sites, hikes, and Tahoe City. The only downside is there isn't a garage.
Important tip: make sure to follow the owner's instructions regarding bear safety -- leave out cups of ammonia around the house front and back doors plus around your car, don't leave food in your car and make sure your car windows are totally shut. :) There are many bears in the area and they are scavengers!
