The house was very spacious and our small group had a lot of room to rest and relax without interfering with others. We took a step into history by spending our vacation days in a historic New Orleans neighborhood. .
The beds were great. Check in was super easy. The only complaint we would have is the hot water did not last long enough for 2 people to shower completely without the water getting super cold. We would stay again
A little tricky to get to only due to New Orleans streets, not impressive at first glance due to all ground floor windows being shuttered. Once we got inside it was charming with lots of historic detail, plenty of comfy beds and areas to gather. We would stay there again!
We had such a great stay at this home! They were very prompt with any questions we had and were more than accomodating when the hurricane hit and making sure we were safe! We will definately be staying again!
Our group of ten were very pleased with this home. The caretakers were extremely easy to deal with and the home is in great condition. Loved the back deck as well.
This house was perfect for our group of nine for a bachelorette party during Mardi Gras celebrations! The host was very responsive leading up to the trip, check-in/check-out was seamless, the location was great, and the home itself was spacious & clean. The pictures don’t do the property justice. I would recommend this house to my friends & family!
We had the best time in New Orleans celebrating my husband’s 50th Birthday.
The house was great for a large group. Very clean inside. We enjoyed the kitchen opening up to the back patio.
It’s about a 20 minute walk to the French Quarter and Frenchman Street. We would take different streets each time and enjoy the unique architecture and scenery.

Problem stay
This property has been poorly maintained. Lost hot water half-way through the first shower of the day. Right by the Claiborne Ave overpass, the street noise was loud, worse at night with gunshots, and street party under the overpass on Sunday night. Quality of the furnishings was marginal. Mattresses were uncomfortable. Host was responsive when called.

As deceptive as it gets...stay here if you've ever wanted to experience tent city
When I first saw the listing and location radius, it looked like a great place with plenty of space for myself and 5 other work colleagues for a business retreat. Little did I know that the area that the listing suggested it was in was many blocks away from the true address, and of course the listing has a no refund policy. Our group stuck with the plan given the fact we couldn't get our money back and were shocked to realize that we were directly across the street from a homeless encampment. The wi-fi in the house never worked, but we were able to use phone hotspots to make things work. The neighborhood was loud at night, but we were able to sleep through it for the most part...until on the final night of our stay (a Sunday) the neighborhood started having a part of the century with concert level music playing until 1am and street races happening the entire time. The final straw was when a homeless person woke us up in early AM hours breaking into the house until myself and one other had to chase him out. I have never been concerned about something like this happening, let alone truly experience it.
When I confronted the property manager about the situation they were very defensive and asked that we "keep the matters private". The posting was then mysteriously absent from VRBO. Every aspect about this property was horrible and I would implore anyone to find LITERALLY any other location to stay at if visiting New Orleans.
A large, authentic New Orleans house that had plenty of space for our group. A bit of a walk (about 20 mins) to French Quarter, but rideshare is always available. Great communication with the property owners. Lots of charm in the house and very comfortable. You are next to the highway, so you will hear the traffic in some parts of the house. If you are tall, some of the rooms have low ceilings, but otherwise a good place to stay.
The house is incredibly authentic and completely set the NOLA mood. It’s way bigger than it looks in the pics, and we had plenty of space. I think the outside patio has changed a bit since the pic was taken, but it was still fine. Super close to the Qtr…$5-8$ Uber rides depending on time and size of party. Governor Nicholl’s Blvd is nice on one side, but sort of sketchy and close to an overpass on the other side. But the house has an alarm, and we always felt safe. Getting back to the house…beautifully furnished and quirky/eccentric. It was perfect. Everything was clean and nice. But if odd little Harry Potter bathrooms under the stairs and crazy ceilings upstairs, this is your place. I can’t stress how uniquely cool it was. One thing of note; there are some hot water issues that were frustrating; I know it’s an old house, but it became a bit of a problem. In the property’s defense, I did report it to them asking if there was a trick to it, but I declined. I just didn’t see the point as I’m not sure what they really could’ve done. But that’s honestly the only negative thing I’d say. Everyone was super nice and we had a GREAT time! I doubt you’ll regret staying here 🙂. Enjoy!
Myself and 6 girlfriends travelled from Buffalo NY to NOLA for a Bachelorette weekend. Nichole and Lauren were super responsive to our calls/texts prior to our arrival and made our check in quick and easy. The house is beautiful and was perfect for us to each have our own bed and plenty of bathrooms to beautify in! The security system made us feel safer at night as the city and people in it can be a little scarier after dark. We were able to get Ubers quickly and get anywhere we wanted to go with ease. All in all we had a great time and were happy with our stay!
Went to New Orleans with a few friends. There was plenty of room for everyone and the beds were extremely comfortable. One of the upstairs bathrooms shower was labeled backwards. Overall great place to stay with a group
The house was amazing, its quaint, charming, spacious and clean. Plenty of room for all ! The hosts were awesome, answered texts right away, and very helpful. The neighborhood concerned us at first, as it's right next to the interstate, but it really didnt detract from our stay.
Overall, our group had an amazing experience at the property. It was large in size, beds for everyone, enough bathrooms and the kitchen/backyard combo was fantastic. You could walk to both Bourbon and Frenchmen (would recommend walking in groups though). Hosts were fantastic throughout the entire process/stay. I would stay here again. Thank you!
Lovely old house with some quirks, that is part of the charm. Kids loved the back yard and frequently got lost in the house, a fun place for families. All the beds were very comfortable. Only downside was the lack of cutting boards and sharp knives in the kitchen.
