Interaction with host was confrontational
While the price point was attractive, the overall experience fell short of expectations. Communication with the host could have been more pleasant. An incident involving a closet door that fell off the hinges was met with an unexpected level of accusation. Additionally, the stove did not work, and fear of further confrontation prevented us from seeking host assistance. The promised 7am check-in email was not received, adding to the inconvenience.Unfortunately, this experience contrasts sharply with our previous positive host interactions on VRBO. It's recommended that the host focus on improving guest communication and resolving issues calmly.Furthermore, the lack of consistent hot water due to extended laundry use by other guests was a significant inconvenience. For future travelers, exploring alternative accommodations may be advisable.
The hosts are quick to respond. Their place is quiet cute and conveniently located. I found it easy to find and exactly what i had hoped for

Clean but challenging
The first night was fine. But the next day they didn’t shovel the long driveway and it was very dangerous to walk to the back of the house to enter. The second night we also had a very loud group above us that stayed up until 6am. We ended up checking out a day early and the owners still haven’t responded to us.

Get what you pay for
Overall, just okay. You get what you pay for. Unit was in the basement, with loud tenants above, not yelling but very loud footsteps and kids running back and forth through the house, very early in the morning. Communications with host was not great and a large check out list of "to dos"
Stayed for two nights and served our purposes. Furniture was not as pictured—futon shown would’ve been great for an adult. Couch there is best for under 5’ and bunk beds seemed short. Also you are in the basement of a house so you can hear footsteps.
We loved our stay. The property was exactly as described and what we expected after reading the description and reviews. It has a wonderful location for nearby attractions. Communication with the owner was easy and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again; we had a wonderful time.
We took a last minute vacation and this cozy apartment was available so we booked it because it was close to everything. It’s a very cozy space and felt warm and homey. Would recommend this for sure!
good place in the basement,
close to downtown and very near to our family.
Only challenge--the entrance was hard to find at first in the dark.
Once inside the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The shower worked and we had a great stay.

Good stay
It is a small little apartment price is reasonable for the area. The communication with the contact was almost non existent but the place was good for what we needed after all you're on vacation to see the nearby area
ot stay in a fancy place. Parking is a bit of a hassle as well.
The location of the property was awesome! We were able to get to many places quickly & there were lots of places nearby to explore. I appreciated that the area was walkable & easy to get to.

Convenient Location
This property is located close to downtown shopping area and easy drive to Pikes Peek and Garden of the Gods. The apartment could use a good cleaning. When we arrived, there were no smoke detectors installed, but I found one sitting on top of the refrigerator and I had to install it onto the base on the ceiling in our bedroom. This could be such a great place to stay with a little effort to clean it better and get some updated furniture. The furniture is not what is shown in the photos.
The property does not look like the photos. It has different furniture than the photos. The living room couch had animal hair on it and crumbs everywhere, stains, and smelt. The bathroom has mildew all around the bathtub. There was a missing electrical outlet cover in the master. There was dust and dirt everywhere. So if you have any type of allergies definitely don’t even walk into this place. We ended up leaving after being there for 10 min because my allergies were so bad and the property owners refused to refund us any of our money except for the cleaning fee due to our issues being that the place was dirty. Seeing how we didn’t stay a single night there or even an hour we expected at least a partial refund due to the lack of communication about the property being dusty and different than the photos indicated.

Not the worst but not the best
Not like some of the photos. The TV never worked and no real effort to fix. The garage disposal smelled. We tried to avoid using that sink. The bunk bed made noise with every little movement. Broken blinds.
It was an inexpensive place to lay our heads for a quick trip to the springs. Pretty much as described, it is a basement apartment of an old home. Within walking distance of downtown.
Just a few cons, the bunk bed is extremely squeeky, there were no smoke/carbon monoxide monitors and the bath tub moulding needs to be cleaned/replaced.
