This property is incredibly quiet and off the beaten path. Brett (owner) was very easy to work with and communicated well. If your looking for a place just to get away from the hustle and bustle, this cottage will certainly help you decompress from every day life.
Great cabin close to Gore Mountain and North Creek
Brett the host is a great person. He was very communicative and ensured we were able to get in and out during the snow storm that dumped close to 20 inches today. His property is huge and sits on a pond which was frozen and fully snow covered during our stay but I’m sure it would be lovely in the spring/summer/fall.
We had an amazing time at this cabin! The owners are really friendly. We “Rode the Rails” in North Creek, which is about 11 minutes away, and learned some interesting local history about Teddy Roosevelt. After that, we spent some time at Lake George. Our favorite part was sitting by the fire at night, the stars were amazing! The kids loved using the kayaks, and everyone tried fishing, catching a few small perch. We also went to “Oscars Smoke House” picked up some chicken to grill and a raspberry pie for dessert. Delicious! The property is beautiful, and we enjoyed walks in the morning. It was a perfect place for our family of four!
Do not stay here We left his property because we felt unsafe after about 4 hours of checking in. We left in order to feel safe regardless of the refund or cost. Our safety was of concern.

My mom and I spent the last couple days of our annual two week adventure on this lovely pond. It’s in a great location where you can drive to many different activities like rail biking, fishing, and tubing. Or you can simply sit out on the deck overlooking a lovely pond and watch beaver, hawk, heron, ducks and other wildlife!

Minerva on the Lake
Setting of the house is lovely with a view of a large pond backed by woods. House needs work and esp. the bathroom and bed rooms. Septic apparently is fragile according to owner which places an undue burden on the renter as the owner is overly careful of exceeding capacity.
Cute, cozy, and warm cabin on a lovely, undeveloped lake. The lake was frozen solid so we hiked out to a nearby island and up one of its feeding streams. We saw a lot of evidence of wildlife and more than a few deer sightings. It's probably also very lovely in the warmer months.
During our stay the temperature dropped to -15F overnight and the pellet stove had no problem keeping up - great for drying off wet clothes also. The house is a perfect base for skiing. Gore is close by (~15 min).
The owner is next door and he's super helpful with check-in and otherwise. Very responsive through text. Overall, 5/5 on an exceedingly cold weekend.
My husband and I planned a last minute trip to the Adirondacks. Brett was extremely accommodating and fast with communication. We loved the location of the cabin, all by itself on a little pond. The view couldn't have been more beautiful. We would definitely book again!
We really enjoyed our stay here! Super close to Gore Mountain and many other amazing activities, but you could just hang out at the property all day, too! The lake is Serene and quiet, and there are many trails to hike. Quiet, comfy, and simple! We loved it!
Brett was very kind and welcoming. He had set up fans to help relieve the unseasonably hot temperatures. The restroom had a bit of a septic smell, but was clean. The internet was newly installed, and while it's a great amenity to have, it went out the second night and didn't come back on before we checked out the next morning, and Brett let us know it has been going out intermittently. Not his fault, but just keep that in mind if internet is essential for you. The mosquitoes and black flies were also unusually crazy, so we weren't able to take advantage of the GORGEOUS location as much as we had hoped. The property is ready for s'mores, fishing, and walks around the pond, so bring your bug spray and get outside! Washer and dryer appeared brand new. Regular drip coffee maker and Keurig available. The kitchen is functional, but it would be helpful if a full set of measuring spoons, measuring cups, ice trays, salt, coffee sugars, and cooking oil were provided. Of course, none of those are necessary if the listing doesn't say pantry items are provided (VRBO has a list of essentials that should be provided if this is part of the listing, otherwise it's helpful to know what we need to bring). That's hardly a complaint, though, when Brett brought over his own salt mill for us when we asked, and we were able to pick up ice at the gas station. 100% recommend this if your needs are simple, and you want to get out and enjoy the mountains. It was conveniently located for everything we wanted to do. Comes complete with a sweet kitty to visit.
This lake front property was reasonably priced, clean, and absolutely beautiful. There was nothing more relaxing than sitting on the porch, drinking our morning coffee while listening to the song birds, and the call of wild turkey, one of which wandered into the yard. Our hosts Brette and Alicia, were wonderful. Yama cat greeted us upon arrival, and occasionally took walks with us along the lake. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with a spectacular view, I highly recommend this property.
So glad we came across this spot. Quiet, private and lots of nature. Accommodating to some of my requests and had great communication with owner. The girls and I plan to make this spot our yearly getaway!
Brett was an awesome host, the cabin and property was amazing. Very clean and comfy. We fished for Northern Pike in the bigger Lakes in the area and then fish back at the property on beautiful private lake Winslow to finish the day. We look forward to coming back.
