My family and I had a great winter stay at the ADK barn. It's warm, cozy, well equipped and roomy. It's in a really good location for skiing at Gore, visiting Lake George, snowmobiling and Sledding. The host was very accommodating and communicated extremely well before, during and after our stay. and helped us with local recommendations. The beds and furnishings are very comfortable and the morning sunrise view out the back windows/deck is outstanding. Would definitely go back if in the area again.

The place is so nice and cozy. Very clean. The owner was so helpful with everything. Directions, places to eat, how to check in and out, etc. My bed was so comfortable and I loved the comforter. I highly recommend this place
We love staying here. We’ve been back for repeat stays. Host has great communication and everything has always been so clean and cozy. Highly recommend
Our young adults were so impressed with how beautiful, homey and cozy the barn was. It was perfect to unwind after a day of being out and about. It snowed the first night we were there and someone was out to plow in the morning before we left. We look forward to staying there again.

Thanks Karen, it was a delight to host you and your family. I am so glad The Barn met your needs. Please come stay again sometime.
We had a splendid time. Great, clean, cozy property that is perfect for a mountain getaway. Sherry was awesome and really made us feel at home. I would definitely recommend and plan to visit again in the future!
The barn is nicely appointed and tastefully decorated with all needed functions. It is a very short drive to Loon Lake so not quite waterfront. There is some noise from the road and the beds are typical of a rental. The listing is very accurate in saying that it will sleep quite a few, just know that being a renovated barn, noise travels quite well. I enjoyed my stay and had great communication with the host.
The house is a remodeled old barn. We loved the rustic feel. The hosts had great communication and we had no problems. We already have reservations to stay again!
Everything about the cabin was as listed, Everything was clean, organized and really amazing. It had Everything that you needed and more. The every bed was so comfortable and really clean, Communication with the hosts was 10 /10
Very friendly, professional and quickly, i really recommend this cabin.

Wonderful place, very comfortable and accommodating and responsive hosts. So close to Chestertown and near to North Creek so there’s much to do. Clean, comfortable, quiet and overlooking woods. The mountains in the distance are magnificent and the stars at night just spectacular. Also, the fenced in yard was great.
This was a clean, rustic, and cozy place to stay for a relaxing weekend. Sherry responds to messages quickly and even left some special touches for our stay :)

Very nice old barn converted into a living space. Cozy and accommodating. Detailed cabin decor. Beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had plenty of tools and supplies to prepare meals with ease. Owner very responsive and pleasant to work with.
We had a great time at the barn! Clean and cozy, and perfectly located within walking distance of hikes or Loon Lake Beach. A short drive to many other amenities. Sherry was amazing with recommendations and super prompt with communications. Would definitely recommend for an Adirondack trip.
Beautiful property. Host and accommodations where great, excellent communication with host. Only things that were less than idea is the heating situation is a bit complex. Multiple seperate heat sources. The best are very firm.

Thanks Justin for the great review! It is true that The Barn does not have central heating, that is in the listing, but the main propane heater puts out plenty to even over-heat the upstairs with the high ceilings. A roaring fire in the woodstove would heat the whole place without any other heat, at all. The electric baseboard heat and the Mitsubishi mini-split are not really needed. The one bathroom baseboard stays on continuously to ensure the bathroom is toasty. Options, options but plenty warm.
We booked a winter weekend to ski Gore Mountain with two teenage boys. The Barn is cozy and rustic with a great post ski vibe! Super clean, fully stocked kitchen with everything you need. The wood stove really heats up the place and we all enjoyed chilling by the fire. Gore is about 20 minutes away—easy to get to for early skiing. Great spot, plenty of sleeping space for the 4 of us!
