This recently updated one-bedroom condominium is perfect for a small family, a couple, or individuals, located in a prime ski-in/ski-out area.
The kitchen boasts newly installed granite countertops, tiled flooring, and modern appliances, providing an unobstructed view of the main living room. It accommodates two individuals at the counter, with additional seating for four in the dining area, which overlooks a forest and enjoys the warm ambiance of a gas fireplace. Please be aware that air conditioning is not available.
The living room is furnished with cozy seating, a gas fireplace, a flat-screen TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, and access to a spacious private deck that offers picturesque views. A Queen Murphy bed can be conveniently tucked away to maximize living space during the day while also serving as an additional sleeping area. Moreover, the sofa sleeper provides extra accommodation for guests.
Adjacent to the main living area, there is a private bedroom that includes a queen-sized bed and a flat-screen TV. The main bathroom has also been modernized, featuring a new vanity, faucet, tiled shower enclosure, and updated flooring.
Access to each floor is provided by an elevator and guests can take advantage of the available covered parking. The property offers a range of amenities including hot tubs, a swimming pool, a game room, a business center, and fitness facilities.
It is important to note that the Iron Horse property is situated along the skier's corridor connecting Mary Jane to the base of Winter Park. To utilize the ski-in/ski-out feature of the property, all skiers must possess an intermediate skill level or above. Additionally, there is a 150 yard walk from the Iron Horse building to the ski trail.
It is mandatory for all guests to prominently display the parking pass issued by the unit in their vehicle to avoid the risk of towing; this regulation is rigorously enforced on the premises.
NOTICE: The Iron Horse property is designated as a non-smoking area; smoking is strictly prohibited on the premises. Violators of this policy will incur fines.
Guests are not allowed to smoke or bring pets onto the property as per the rules of the Homeowner Association. These regulations will be rigorously upheld, with a 200 fine imposed on guests who violate them.

Nice place

Unsatisfactory

Check-in was a problem, and reaching anyone for help, which would have resolved the issue quickly, took about an hour. I was without internet and TV service for my first 24 hours. The deck was unusable and had 4-5 feet of snow on it, and additionally a sign on the patio door said the deck, a feature that helped sell me on this rental, was closed and not to be used; this was not indicated on the rental description. I asked for compensation for these issues and all I was afforded was a 2 hour later check-out. Paper towels and toilet paper were the cheapest possible, and cookware was minimal. I will never book through a property management company again and only go directly through the owner. Finally, I stayed at another Iron Horse unit in January, which was wonderful, giving me a good comparison of units. It was more nicely appointed and communications were a breeze.
