About this property

Pelican Place is a Waterfront Home on Historic First St on the Gulf of Mexico

Gulf Views-Boat Parking-King Beds-Fire Pit

Pelican Place sits directly on the Gulf of Mexico in Cedar Key, Florida—an island village located about three miles from the mainland. This beautiful waterfront home offers sweeping views of the Gulf and surrounding islands that stretch as far as the eye can see.

This two-bedroom, two-bath home features porches and balconies on two sides, providing panoramic water views throughout the property. From the cozy waterfront sunroom to the open deck, there is no shortage of stunning scenery.

Inside, the bright and airy great room continues to bring the outdoors in. Whether you`re relaxing in the living room, preparing a meal in the kitchen, dining with friends, or unwinding in the master bedroom, the sparkling waters of the Gulf are always just a glance away.

Bring your bicycles and explore the island’s quiet roads and hidden corners. Cedar Key is small enough that you can ride about two miles in any direction and experience the entire island. Along the way, friendly waves and “hellos” from locals and fellow visitors are part of the charm. You may find yourself wondering how you were lucky enough to discover Pelican Place and Cedar Key.

There’s a special feeling you experience when you arrive in Cedar Key. It’s the kind of comfort that feels like slipping into your favorite well-worn jeans—easy, familiar, and relaxing. Life slows down here. You can finally put your feet up and enjoy the moment.

Maybe it’s the salty breeze drifting in from the Gulf, the breathtaking sunsets over the water, or the charm of this small island village filled with local eateries, unique shops, and bicycles cruising along quiet streets. Perhaps it’s the mangroves, the shifting tides, and the unmistakable coastal air. Whatever the reason, the feeling is real—and it’s absolutely worth the journey to the end of the road where Cedar Key meets the sea.

For adventure on the water, rent kayaks and paddle across the bay for a memorable experience, but be sure to pay attention to the Cedar Key tides—head out on an incoming tide and return before it turns.

A small private pier sits directly in front of the home, offering a wonderful spot for fishing or simply enjoying the view.

Pelican Place is fully furnished, exceptionally clean, and thoughtfully equipped to ensure a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for cooking, serving, and dining in. Both bedrooms are tastefully decorated with all linens provided. The master bedroom features a king bed, and the guest bedroom also includes a king bed and a TV.

The spacious living room offers comfortable seating for six and a large smart TV. The dining area is perfect for meals, conversation, or game nights.

Step outside to enjoy the waterside deck, ideal for soaking up the Florida sunshine and Gulf breezes. The front porch features two comfortable cushioned swings—perfect for relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

Fishing opportunities are plentiful in Cedar Key, whether from a bridge, pier, inshore charter, or offshore trip. You can even cast a line right from your backyard.
