Clean and very cozy. As advertised and so close to the Northstar Shuttle. Our family enjoyed the experience and would absolutely re-book.

Family ski weekend

The location was excellent as the shuttle ride for skiing was only minutes and our older children could easily walk to the village. Great weekend. Would rent again!

Convenient and well maintained

Great condo for accessing Northstar skiing. Shuttle bus takes you less than a mile to the village. Well appointed, very user friendly accommodations. Owner was helpful. No issues and no drama! Just fun!

Awesome location

It's all about location. This condo is SO close to Northstar. The bus picks up 100 steps from parking lot. Loved being able to catch the bus in the morning, and not have to deal with parking. Additionally the Home Owners Club house was a great spot for non-skiers.

Great location, wonky heating

The condo is great and the location is amazing, but the heating system was complicated and not accurate. Those sleeping upstairs were fine while those sleeping downstairs were freezing. When the heating was set to the owners instructions, the people in the bunk beds had heat blasted in their face. Not ideal.

Snowed out

We were snowed out of the unit after Christmas 2021 due to huge blizzard and the closure of all freeways in and out of Tahoe for 3 straight days. Dawson communicated with us regularly during that time of uncertainty and offered a generous refund of most of our funds, as we never made it to the unit. We really appreciated his fairness in these unusual circumstances. *VRBO required a response for cleanliness, check-in, and location, which I had to estimate since we weren't actually there.

The access to the shuttle is idea for everyone in the group, we could all go and come as we wanted to the village and lifts.

Spacious and well kept place

We enjoyed our stay. The place is spacious and is very close to Northstar. We walked back one day. Alternatively you can take the shuttle and there is a stop right outside the property

Good location and Comfortable property

Friendly owner who is easy to reach, provided plenty of household suppllies/bedding/blankets, and even showed concern for our well being in the snow. Property spaces and sectioned off nicely for our family and friends to relax and enjoy our stay.

Perfect!

We wanted a place that was close to the Northstar village so we would have easy access to the slopes and back to the condo. This was perfect. The place was very comfortable for us, and we were just a few minute shuttle trip back and forth to the slopes. Will stay again!

Cozy 5068 Goldbend

The condo was perfect for what we were looking for. The listing was accurate. All the right features to make our stay comfortable and cozy. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with useful tools and equipment. Good location with free shuttle service right across the street. Great place to stay! Note to future renters: 1) There are about 25-30 stepping down from the parking to the condo. Be prepare to carry your luggage and personal items down the slope of steps. 2) Kitchen is stock with all pot and pan including plates/bowls and utensils, but there are no seasonings. Bring whatever you need to cook.

Great time away before the snow hits

The condo is located right below the Northstar village which is an ideal spot. We found the condo a perfect accommodation for our long weekend. The check in and check out was very easy. The condo was clean and comfortable and had the basic necessities. Back seat and part of passenger seat of one of cars (that had no food in it) was ransacked by a bear! Made for an exciting first night ! I’ve been coming to this Gold Bend community for over 10years. Great spot. Highly recommend it and this location.

This is a great location close to Northstar, Unit had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. In addition the owner was really great to deal with - we needed to check in on something before our stay and he was really responsive and accommodating. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful place!!

We have rented many different condos at Northstar over the years and this one is by far the best. The location is great, and the condo itself is clean, spacious and very well-equipped (they even supply coffee filters which very few places do!). It is close enough to the village if you want to walk, but shuttle access is great. WIFI and access to exercise room is a bonus as well. The owner is very responsive and helpful with any issues . We will definitely be back again this season.

We enjoyed our stay. It was clean and the beds were good which is a huge thing for us. Be prepared for stairs. Stairs from the parking lot and three flights of stairs in the condo. Don't miss the community center with 2 pools and lots of hot tubs. It's an incredible facility!

Great family get away.

We are a family of 4 so this was more than enough space. Location is very quiet and peaceful yet located easy enough to drive over the hill 15 min to the lake & grocery store. North Star village is great to get food/ drinks free Gondola up to the Ritz. Shuttle to the village was super easy and handy when my husband took the car to golf. Beds were good and lots of extra pillows & blankets. Master has a nice separate vanity in bedroom that was ver handy. Some minor things didn't quite work (wifi & BBQ, neither could really get fixed on our stay but neither were big deals for us) the owner very responsive, and tried to help although for our two day stay couldn't get fixed but compensated us for the inconvenience. All in all a very nice place and lots of sleeping with four bunks in one room and king & queen in other bedrooms. No air conditioning for hot summer which would only really matter for master as it is top floor. Fan came in handy. Bottom floor is very cool temperature compared to rest of condo. Nice balcony -no one across so peacefull place to enjoy coffee in a.m. and a glass of wine at the end of the day. Kitchen doesn't have any condiments -grab stuff at store or bring some basics with you. Coffee filters didn't seem to be there -bought some then found a pack under kitchen sink. Suggestion: coffee maker was different -seems to be single cup at a time but directions would be helpful. I did manage I rent a lot of homes for vacation & weekends and would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Cozy and feels like home away from home.

Our families had a great time staying here. The home feels like our own home and the children enjoyed their time. It was so close to the ski resort and the shuttle service made it easy to get into the village without using our car.

My wife and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area with our three young children -- 15 yr old son, 13 yr old son, and 10 yr old daughter.

Why they chose this property

Our family has been vacationing at Lake Tahoe for decades, and we feel it is our second home. There is so much to do in any season, especially on the North Shore, and our children are always busy. We also like the fact that the Lake Tahoe community is friendly and informal, however we prefer the North Shore because we find it more scenic and upscale compared to the big casinos on the South Shore.

What makes this property unique

Northstar Resort is the place to be in Lake Tahoe right now. The Ritz Carlton chose Northstar to build the first five star hotel in Lake Tahoe, which was completed in the Fall of 2009. This is Shaun White's home ski resort. The New Village at Northstar is absolutely spectacular -- restaurants, shops, bars, outdoor skating rink, outdoor movies, fire pits, kids bungy jump, etc. There is also a private homeowners recreation area with pool, spa, etc. -- more info on this site.
