Hosting families, bridal parties, events, reunions, corporate training, athletes, coaches and guests attending valley events. Our acreage is 3km to the lake or 5km to ocean beaches. Watch wildlife, visit our village for hand made ice-cream, mountain climb, read, play games, make pizza, or grill. Ideal for friends, families & cozy gatherings.

Star gaze, kayak, swim, hike, hammock, geocache, & relax. BC's new rules limit us to 3 of our 5 bdrms with, additional sleeping space for your group to use. We excuse ourselves from all 'common areas' in the B&B so you can enjoy the entire home from kitchen to rec room & library/loft. We offer full privacy for your group; while being available (per new BC and CVRD regulations) for a daily breakfast delivery of muffins or fruits or? tell us and we will try to accommodate. Imperceptible hosts. Hike our trail, try the Pizza oven or join us in spring maple sugaring.
Complying w/ BC's STR laws via an onsite concierge offering of daily breakfast and as much privacy as guests want.

Nice home for our 7 friends to spread out and have their own space. Kitchen was our favorite gathering place! Nice walking trails from the front door. Feels pretty isolated even with all the surrounding development, and in a great location close to both Mill Bay and Shawnigan Lake.

Wedding Weekend

This is a lovely, large home on a large property. Just 5 min drive from Old Mill Park on Shawnigan Lake. There is also a hike near by with a great view. My family was staying in the area for my son's wedding. Even though there was 10 of us in the home, it did not feel crowded at all as there is so much space, both in the house and around the house. All of us were very impressed with the set up. The home is well equipped with everything we needed. If I were going back to that area with a group, I would definitely book this place. The cost per person was well worth it.

Stunning location, beautiful home

We needed a place big enough to sleep 8 people comfortably and Evelyn's place checked every box! From check in to check out every detail was looked after. Communication was excellent. Imagine our surprise and delight when sitting on the deck our first morning, admiring the stunning view, fresh muffins, quiches and brownies are delivered to us. The home is spacious, clean, quiet and so comfortable. We were steps away from the Mt. Baldy hike and the views from the top were sensational. We felt like we were in the mountains, yet only minutes away from the Shawnigan Lake townsite. If I could give a 20/10 rating I would :)

A true gem!

We had a wonderful time on our trip. The house is lovely- the experience of being there is even better than pictures can capture! Picture big, wide windows looking out at mountains and trees. The house is nice and big with plenty of room for our group to stretch out. It felt luxurious having so much space available. The kitchen was well equipped and worked well for cooking large meals. The hike up Old Baldy Mountain was one of the highlights for us. It's a satiafying hike with an incredible view at the top, and It's a very short walk from the house to the start of the trail. The hike is about 25-30 minutes each way, and completely worth it. Evelyn was a thoughtful and responsive host. Communication was great and they went above and beyond to make our stay nice. Our experience was great all around. The property is a beautiful place to spend time, the house is big and roomy and well maintained, and the hosts are great to work with. A+++ experience

Gorgeous View

We had such an amazing time on the property, the view was incredible and there was so much space for everyone to enjoy. We spent our days playing games and laughing - couldn’t have asked for better. The hosts were so attentive and the house is stocked with pretty everything you’d need for a great stay. Would definitely DEFINITELY book again.
