Bear Paw Cottage #5( Queen Log Bed) Tranquil and Relaxing!
Convenient to the Alpine Helen Village, this quaint little cottage allows you to enjoy the beauty of the North Georgia mountains while taking in the charm of Helen without breaking your budget.
Our Bear Paw Cottage is reminiscent of the motor court of the past and offers level parking, which makes this cottage great for motorcycle enthusiasts or people who want to avoid a cabin with a lot of stairs.
This cozy cabin boasts a beautiful queen sized log bed and a sleeping loft with a double sized memory foam mattress if you decide to bring the kiddos! Our studio-style Bear Paw Cottage comfortably sleeps two adults and two small children.
Enjoy one of our many great restaurants in town or cook your own mouth-watering meals in your cabins well equipped kitchenette.
We also offer charcoal grills and gazebo covered picnic tables in the Common Area so that you may enjoy more of the beauty of our North Georgia mountains.
Don't forget the marshmallows! The large firepit is perfect for making smores, singing songs, or star gazing after a fun packed day in Helen!
Firewood is provided for the firepit outdoors! Please DO NOT use indoors!

I really enjoyed my stay at Bear Paw Cottage. It's essentially a studio sized cabin but it was perfect for my husband, myself, and our dogs. If we had kids, I am sure they would have loved the loft bed. The heater worked very well. And the host was super accommodating. She is even mailing me back an earbud I left. We were also only 10 min from Helen.

This is a wonderful with accurate photos and descriptions. No hidden problems. You would be very comforting and satisfied. The location is fantastic. I would highly recommend and will stay here again the next time I visit.

Overall it was a pleasant stay. Near to Helen downtown. Things you need is there for cooking. Issue that we have is that on the listing it states that there is a hot tub but it’s been pulled out. Also it’s little dusty, my daughter unable to sleep in the bunk bed as she had allergy attack and end up sleeping in the sofa.

Great people ..great location

Penny and shawn are the best people in the world!!! Transmission went our car and they helped us get to the enterprise car lot to rent a car.. we would not have been able to enjoy our vacation without their help.cabin is cozy and wonderful. A great get away

We found the cabin clean and well lit. It was the easiest check in you could possibly have. The owners were polite and prompt when I locked myself out. It is 5 minutes away from Helen and just a great place to get away. I plan on staying there again soon.

A quaint, cute and cozy cabin with a hot tub, my family loved it! The loft was a bit high for my little ones, but a super cool idea for older kids. Great location close to hiking trails, Anna Ruby Falls and only a few minutes to Helen. Thanks!

Very Clean, quaint, and close

This was a great last minute grab for the Memorial Day weekend. It's a one room cottage plus a bathroom and loft for sleeping. Special bonus feature is an extremely well maintained hot-tub. Good base location to enjoy Unicoi State Park and Chattahoochee National Forest. Close to Helen. This was a no regrets choice and I do recommend.

Perfect atmosphere in the cabin

The cabin's atmosphere was perfect - just what we were looking for. The hot tub outside was awesome - you can pull the curtain around it for complete privacy. A couple of small fix ups would have been nice in the cabin - linoleum pulling up on the floor by the tub. It was close to a busy road - so you'd hear traffic a bit. Wasn't in the woods as much as I'd hoped - but it was tucked back enough to feel like it was. Great stay!

Everything was great! Easy directions and check. The only thing that I couldn’t find was how to leave the property. Leave the trash or take it out? Strip the bed sheets? Those type of things.

TINY Cabin

Everything was wonderful. It could use a couple flat surfaces, like a small nightstand and lamp on the bedside. One bedside had a table with lamp. A small coffee table in front of the sofa. I had to use the bathroom trash can turned upside just to put a cup of coffee or other drink down. Tiny fridge, tiny counter- I wouldn’t/couldn't cook in that kitchen. So cozy. We loved it.

The property was cute and functional for our mother daughter getaway. Some of the dishes and the toaster oven had food in them so we had to wash everything before using it. We found roaches in the kitchen which we were told they would have someone come and spray but never did. It was only a few we killed what we found but still... The hot tub was nice but wish it was hotter. Only had 4 towels for and 2 rolls of toilet paper for a week stay, needless to say we had to go shopping. The TV wifi kept freezing. Bright side it was perfect size not bad price about 6 min from town.

Charming Cottage in Fantastic Location

I needed some retreat time by myself and the cabin was perfect. I felt very safe and even navigated a car breakdown with very kind local help. I spent much time in Unicoi State Park and Anna Ruby Falls, but the festivities of Helen are just around the corner. I can't say enough about the owners and their helpfulness. It is a new property for them and upgrades are being made on an ongoing basis. I had everything I needed and the hot tub is a real treat after a day of walking in the woods! I live in North Georgia, but will continue to make this my quiet get away spot when my husband tent camps or does overnight fishing trips. Love that indoor plumbing, small kitchen, fireplace or AC, and comfortable queen size bed at the end of MY day in the woods! Not fancy, but very comfortable and charming. Highly recommend for single or couple get away and loft is available for kids. Didn't take my dog this trip but now that I know the property, I will next time - great yard for walking small dogs and lots of dog friendly paths in the park.
