Stay Comfortably in the Cool and Fun NewBo Arts and Culture District. Discover an amazing newly remodeled 1880’s rare bohemian immigrant house in the Historic New Bohemia/Czech Village District.

The location in the Czech Village/NewBo District is near Downtown Cedar Rapids, Art Museum, Library, Paramount Theater, Theater Cedar Rapids, and just blocks from Unity Point/St. Luke’s and Mercy Hospitals, the Geonetric building, numerous restaurants, shops, and other entertainment.

The large attic bedroom has a queen bed and two full beds, perfect to sleep a family or a few close friends and still provide privacy. In the main floor has gathering area with sitting room, a counter to eat at, and kitchen, a full bathroom and access to the large back deck. The basement has a living room with a pullout couch, a king bedroom, and a full bathroom with a washer and dryer.

-Pets are allowed. You must disclose that you are bringing pets and how many. There is a $100 per pet per stay fee.
-Any additional guest after 5 guests is $15 per guest per night. - If gray or blue garbage bin is moved from the location in the alley, on gravel, at the end of driveway, and if the gray OR blue garbage bin is not collected due to one or both bins being moved you will be charged a $250 fine.

This is a charming home in a convenient downtown area. Spacious yet warmly decorated, with a comfortable king bed (the only one we utilized), and a nice kitchen, with cozy sitting area. Owner was kind & quick to respond. Definitely recommended!

Perfect house and perfect location

This house was perfect for our girl's trip to Cedar Rapids. The house had everything we needed and we loved having our own beds. Plenty of space! It was very clean and the location couldn't be beat. Just about 2 blocks from shops and restaurants.

Charming Historic Home!

Lovely house with tons of history included! The layout was different than I originally pictured, but it worked out for us. We brought our two year old and he loved climbing all the stairs.

Beautiful, fun house

Lori was great to work with! This house is in great condition and is the most well-stocked/equipped rental homes I've stayed in. My family stayed here for Christmas and it was really great to all be together. The living room area downstairs is fun to hang out in. We walked to the NewBo area closeby which was really cool as well! Be prepared to be close to a train, but it's not too bad, and otherwise everything was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

Czech Village Cottage - Clean - Comfortable with a Bit of History

Refurbished bungalow that is blocks from NewBo Market and close enough to walk downtown as well. It was perfect for our family visit to Cedar Rapids. It has a completely modernized interior and all we needed for a night in the area.

Great supplemental housing for family reunion

I rented this house for my 3 adult children when our family gathered in Cedar Rapids for a memorial service for my mother. They were very happy with the house and it allowed them to join the extended family for family time but to retreat and recharge in a smaller setting as needed.
