I had no issues with the rental itself and when I did interact with the hosts, I had a great experience! My only issue with the stay was the Check-in process and the communication from the host prior to Check-in. Prior to 72 hours, I received no communication from the host regarding Check-in. The day before the trip, the host contacted me through text and I was informed that Check-in would be in person and to provide a ETA for my arrival, which I provided (not ideal, but acceptable). I departed later than planned, but I provided an updated ETA, so they would know well in advance. I was then informed that I would be met at the rental by Joe. However, when I arrived I was neither met at the door, nor was anyone answering the door when I rang the bell or knocked. I texted the host, and received no answer. I ended up waiting outside for almost 30 minutes, still with no response to my text. Eventually, Joe did turn up and I was able to Check-in, but it was a pretty frustrating experience considering that I had just finished a 5 hour drive, it was a million degrees out, and I had provided an accurate ETA.I feel like this issue could easily be resolved by either providing guests with the door codes and Check-in instructions or by being more responsive in messaging.Again, the stay overall was great, but the stress of the Check-in was avoidable and hopefully the hosts will consider my suggestions. I would recommend the rental, as long as you are ok with the issues above.
