Melanie's place is large and comfortable. The location is a few blocks walking distance to shopping, restaurants and downtown. We had 8 adults stay and there was plenty of room.Great value!
We had a fantastic time. The space was perfect. We were three couples and a 2yr old. The internet was a little problematic when we arrived, but our host was quick to fix it and very responsive. We would certainly come back.
Very convenient. Had every amenity we could possibly want. Parking was a little bit of a walk (about 1/2 block) but not terrible. A lot of stairs. My wife and I and our friends are all over 70, so stairs were an issue, but I believe we were told there was no elevator so that’s on us. For our daughter and her family was no problem. The beds were pretty soft
Loved the house! Lots of great places in walking distance. Owners were very quick to respond to questions. Kitchen was equipment for cooking. Rooms very comfortable. We will stay there again if we return to lancaster
Our stay was very good. Very roomy and safe.
House could be decorated a little more warm and cozy.
Great A/C on all floors. Great kitchen and bathrooms.
Would stay again.

What an interesting stay
Check in and parking was at first confusing but Joe helped us when we got there. Despite being over a funeral home the rental was beautiful and had everything we needed to make our stay great! Make sure you contact the manager directly and not through VRBO though. It’s easier that way. Overall great stay for my daughters graduation!

Wretched communication
This was a weekend getaway with myself and 3 of my girlfriends. I will start off with the positives. This place is cute. It’s large, clean and the location is fabulous. It is 4 bedrooms but you have to go thru one room to get to the other. That wasn’t an issue for us. The negatives. The host does a horrendous job of communicating. It took days for me to get a response on what kind of coffee maker was in the unit. At check in I let her know when we were 30 minutes away because she wanted to meet us at the property. We arrived and she did not respond to my texts or phone calls that we had arrived. My friends and I stood on the sidewalk for 15 minutes before someone from the funeral home came out to help. The 2nd night we came home at 10pm and the door keypad was dead. No big deal, right? It wouldn’t have been if the host would have answered my repeated phone calls and texts. Thankfully the permanent tenants arrived home and were able to somehow get into the funeral home and access a door to get into the apartments. What made this entire situation even worse was the texts from the host an hour later that did not include an apology. She then called me and instead of being apologetic she was downright nasty. Said she “is allowed to sleep”. You’re right. You are absolutely allowed to sleep. But when you are a hosting someone in your property you need to be available in case of an emergency. Side note on the property, there are no mirrors besides the bathrooms.

Liked the location, not the condo
We picked the condo based on location and price point, and thought the location and neighborhood were perfect. However, we had concerns with the lack of responsiveness from the host, accuracy of the description, and cleanliness. The listing states 4 bedrooms, but only pictures 3, and does not provide information that one of the bedrooms is only accessible through the master bedroom. Additionally, only 3 bedrooms are pictured, and the host did not respond to my repeated requests for a picture of the 4th bedroom. The listing said there was a coffee maker, but when we went to make dripped coffee with ground coffee, there was only a Kuerig machine and we had to go out to pick up brewed coffee. I never received check in instructions from either the auto eMail from VRBO (the message in the body of the email stated the host had not provided them), or the host who did not reply to my request. I had to escalate to the VRBO customer service number before I received a call from the host with instructions to check in. The linens had disgusting stains on them, and when we requested clean ones, they were left on the bare floor and also stained. The downstairs shower had hair in it when we arrived. This place has potential if the host were to address these items.
Nice place. Was clean. Short walk to downtown area. Nice area, seemed safe. Only drawback is the funeral home right next door, but that was not a big deal.
I booked 3 nights for 7 people in a 4bed/2bath apartment and was given a 3bed/1.5bath substitute. Needless to say, that is not what we paid for. An older guy named Joe showed me in to this wrong apartment, so I had to contact the host Melanie afterwards. I called her twice and got no response, so I sent her a text and she very simply replied "I don't do VRBO very often. The other side has been booked for months. You can cancel if you want." I tried calling her again and wrote back asking her to please call me, and still got no call back. She would only text back short responses, ultimately saying "like I said 3 hours ago, cancel if you want." Shocked at the lack of resolution, I contacted VRBO customer service, and they provided 2 options which also didn't solve my problem: 1) cancellation and full refund, or 2) VRBO to cover the expense of a single night in a hotel for my group of 7. Both options left us without accommodations for part/all of the trip, and we couldn't find any place to stay last minute that didn't cost 5x the price. My group and I were put in a really bad position, and ended up staying for lack of alternatives. What a mistake. The place had the grossest grandma smell you could ever imagine, and since you're not allowed to open the windows (unclear why), everyone woke up with terrible allergies and puffy eyes every morning. The bedroom on the first level doesn't have any heat, so we had to leave the door open in the overnight hours to let in heat from the rest of the house. The shower was absolutely terrible - you're better off bathing in the sink than in the trickling amount of water that comes out of the shower head. It took hours for our group of 7 to get ready to go out. I can't give a review for the 4bed/2bath listing since I didn't stay in it, but Melanie was by far the worst part of it all - steer clear of her and her listings. I would give it zero stars if I could.
