Lovely house and pool

We had a wonderful stay with the pool and beautiful weather being a particular highlight. The house is light and well designed and equipped to a high standard. Communication with the owner was excellent. It would have been better if the cost of the sheets had been included in the overall price. It would be quite hard to manage without a car. Overall a wonderful place for a family holiday.

Lovely week in Arcachon

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful modern property in sun-soaked Arcachon. Having our own clean, private pool was beautiful and we had everything that we needed to cook for ten people. The air-conditioning kept everything cool and little touches like automated shutters made life very easy. The property is situated in a beautiful neighbourhood surrounded by other villas on tree-lined streets. It is a little further from the town centre and coast than we had imagined but both were only a short cycle ride away and there was plenty of easy parking - especially at the beach at Le Molleau, where the ice creams are also magnifique. We would recommend Arcachon to anyone. Lovely scenery, beautiful food, fun for the kids (Aqualand!!), and a terrific home to return to for a swim at the end of the day.

A beautiful modern and high tech property with AC, own pool, good location, high specifications and all modern conveniences. The house is kept spotlessly clean and everything is of a very hight standard. We enjoyed our week and the area of Arcachon. Parking is straightforward and we walked to Arcachon and neighbouring beaches from the property. The downside was that the host does not seem to visit the property very often and relies on guests filling in contracts with long itinerary when arriving and leaving via the telephone. The host’s phone reception was poor and so it was difficult to hear her and took a long time. She had missed my email of 2 days previously informing her of my arrival time as requested and there was no key left in the safe by the previous guests. She did not apologise for her mistake. I am both a guest and a host and prefer to rely on the 98% of my guests who are trust worthy and appreciative than engage in all this legalise. It was off putting. There was a bit of an end of season feel to some of the facilities which had not been checked despite being described as ‘in perfect condition’ on the legal documents. Overall we had a lovely family holiday in a great space but visiting the property and checking on what is working before a let would have been appreciated.

Thank you for your feedback. We are very pleased that you enjoyed the house, its high standards, cleanliness, location and facilities, and that you had a lovely family holiday in Arcachon. We are sorry that our way of welcoming guests did not suit you. Our approach is based on trust, mutual respect and clear communication. We choose to personally provide our guests with detailed information on arrival to help them feel genuinely welcomed and comfortable in the house from the very beginning. This personal attention has been much appreciated by our guests over the years. Good communication between guests and ourselves is also important to us, both before and during each stay. The arrival and departure documents simply ensure clarity for everyone. The house and its facilities are regularly checked and maintained. We also rely on our guests to let us know during their stay if any issue arises, so that we can address it promptly. We regret that our approach did not match your own expectations, but we are pleased that you and your family enjoyed the house and your stay in Arcachon.
