It worked

Odd little house set up. Great porch!! Back yard wasn’t in usable condition. Overall decent stay. They left a welcome bag which was so nice. Cooked thanksgiving dinner here and it worked out perfectly. I did bring lots of things from home but there was so much already there!

House is NOT as Photographed and Listed as!!

This was all within 24 hours of check in to the Better Beach Rental property. I sent the company and individuals at the company emails with photos and they NEVER responded, but sent a maintenance tech out three times (making me stay at the house and not enjoy our vacation!!) then had a cleaner and pest control just show up — making me leave the beach to talk with subcontractors. Two days of my vacation was wasted sitting at the house and managing their crew working that should have been done BEFORE we got to the property. Again, no one from Better Beach Rentals ever replied to my emails/ called to check in/ asked how to fix the issues except sending a repair man out and making me stay at the house to manage the repair projects. There is NO WAY this house is newly renovated as listed — half of the house looks beat to h*ll. A few high level issues are below. - This house is INFESTED with cockroaches. They need to spray the house and property. - Our house was filthy upon arrival. The bathtub, spickets (loose and coming off of the wall) and tile build up was BEYOND GROSS. The vents throughout the house had a thick coating of gunk on them which was very visible. The carpeting was FILTHY with stains and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned or vacuumed in months. The floor and baseboards had layers and layers coated on them. I spent hours cleaning the house upon arrival to make it livable. - Two of the three decks are unstable and constantly shake when two or more people are on them. We couldn’t even have our family on the deck as you could visibly see and feel it swaying and moving. The maintenance tech who inspected was shocked at how unsafe it was and told us to stop using it. We planned all dinners for our house and couldn’t enjoy eating outside. - Our grill was broken (the leg was broken and they jimmied it together — not too safe considering it produces fire and could easily fall over??) - Apple TV remote is broken making it unusable.

Great house however there were several issues.

Roaches in the kitchen and bedrooms. Killed 4-5 per room each day. So bad, one of our guests left early. Bathroom electricals did not work even after checking breaker box. Hot water only worked in one shower all the day but only worked half the time in the other shower.
