This home is situated in a quiet neighborhood and is on the water with a big yard for the kids to play in and a HUGE deck. Built in fire pit in the back yard for making s'mores. Fish right off the private dock. Throw your floats out in the water and float stress free knowing there won't be any boat traffic. Feel the stress melt away as soon as you step into the large wrap around deck. Paved parking pad capable of holding 3 cars and just 3 steps to gain entry into the house. Gas Grill on the deck. Wonderful Lakehouse Stay

This lakehouse was fabulous! Everything as far as booking paying and checkin/check out was super easy. The property is very comfortable clean, with excellent outdoor spaces. It’s well furnished and had great outdoor games. We would definitely recommend and stay again

Beautiful cove on Lake Santeetlah

We had a splendid time swimming off the dock, paddleboarding, and canoeing. The house is well equipped, comfortable, and fun. The owners were very accommodating and communicative.

Great Family Vacation

This was our 2nd year staying at the house. We had a great time! The location on the lake is perfect. We paddle boarded for miles, swam every day and walked around the neighborhood. The house had everything you want and need to be comfortable on vacation. Even the dogs had a fun time on the large deck, yard and lake.

Wonderful Lake Retreat

I loved how this property had everything we needed to totally relax and unwind. Walking around the lake neighborhood with the dogs, kayaking on the lake, playing ping pong, and making a fire at sunset was a great routine for us. We can’t wait to return! Thank you for everything!

Quiet and beautiful cove

The house had plenty of space and things to do during our stay. We enjoyed being able to go paddle boarding and taking our jet skis out as well. The games in the house came in handy during the rainy days. There were trails for hiking and nice swimming holes too. The marina was close by and boat ramp was easy to find. We had a great stay and would come back again for another vacation.

Great home that we would love to stay again!

We loved our time at this home! The home was comfy and well stocked. The covered porch had nice seating and beautiful views. The boat dock was accessible with a gently sloping yard with just a few stairs down to the water. We enjoyed the fire pit, outdoor games, canoe and ping pong table. Everything was as listed on the listing. It was a great getaway and would love to return in the future.

Santeetlah magic

It is a very comfortable, spacious house situated right by the lake's quite cove. It is equipped with a numbers of things for water activity including canoe, standing boards etc. We enjoyed great view from the spacious deck facing the lake. This property is equipped with all the stuff for cooking, has good WiFi, games, books for family fan. We stayed with all our family at the end of August and enjoyed our time tremendously.

Our new happy place!

We have been spending a week vacation at Lake Santeetlah for about 12 years. We absolutely love it there. We were fortunate to be in this lovely home with our family this year. House was roomy, clean and well stocked. We loved the neighborhood. Owner was very attentive to us and responded quickly. Hopefully we will make more precious memories in this beautiful home. Great Lake place

This was a perfect place for our family. The three levels gave everyone a place to be. Kids in the loft. Parents in the main floor. Grandparents in the basement. And the lake. Perfect. We had many challenges with ping pong also. So much fun.

Relax on the Dock!

We took our family to the house and we all had a great time. The house is right on the water with a great dock to fish and swim from. Kids loved swimming in the lake and paddle boarding. House has plenty of beds, the kitchen looks brand new and has living rooms with tvs upstairs and down. Lots of games for kids to play with and screened in outside ping pong room. The highlight of the house is a beautiful back deck with a giant vaulted ceiling, great for sitting and looking at the lake. Not far from Tapoco lodge and great hiking trails.

Perfect place for a well-needed break!

My brother’s family has been vacationing at Santeetlah for years and finally convinced us to join them. Of course, we waited almost to the last moment to commit and were shocked to see Quiet Cove available. It was perfect for our family and my parents. Very clean, well-appointed and ideal water toys for teens. The deck was awesome for family dinners, quiet reflection, and star-gazing. However, my personal favorite was the floating dock with built-in bumpers that made docking our pontoon boat a breeze. We are so grateful to have found such a nice home at our new favorite family getaway and cannot wait to come back!

Family Reunion

Loved the covered. Back deck & lake view. Great gathering area. Loved the grassy lawn sloping to lake. Well lighted at night. Only suggestion would be to provide some clothes racks for upstairs bedroom & downstairs bedroom as they don’t have available closets. Some light under last step down onto deck would be helpful. All said. & done it was a very nice well kept property & enjoyed our stay very much!

Totally enjoyed our stay

We cooked every night and ate in. We had everything we needed with the food we brought and bought locally. Easy access to grocery shopping. However, this is a dry county, so be prepared to drive a ways to buy alcohol. We had a birthday party for our July birthdays - there were no cake pans (we bought 2 and left them for future guests). We played in the water every day. Lots of swimming. Enjoyed the owner's paddle boards. Parked our jet skis at the dock and used them regularly. Lots of games to entertain ourselves when out of the water. There were nightly ping-pong 'tournaments'. TV was perfect for the kids during quiet times. Wifi access was very good for the student amongs us working on her degree. We would have liked a few more towels in the bathrooms, but we managed since we had a washer/dryer available.

Highly recommend

Before arriving we received several emails detailing not only our check in process but also a list of fun things to do in the area and items provided and not provided by the host. To say the communication and quick responsiveness from John was excellent would be an understatement. The house was clean upon arrival and well stocked with all the kitchen items one would need, toilet paper, paper towels, extra blankets, cleaning supplies etc. The kitchen had tons of cups, utensils, pots, baking sheets, crock pot, blender, mixing bowls, measuring cups, cutting boards.... we were very impressed. The 3 level house was spacious and each level had its own full bathroom. We had trouble getting one of the TVs to work and within 2 minutes (literally) of sending a message through VRBO to John he was calling us to walk us through the resolution. The large deck off the main floor had gates at each of the steps which made it easy to contain our Littles and allow them to play outside on it without worry of them going down to the water. The backyard is nice, a feature not many of the other lakes houses have, and we enjoyed playing ball, driving monster trucks etc on it. Down by the Lake is a large fire pit in additional to the gas fire option on the main deck. Grocery store was only 10 minutes away and we had no trouble finding hikes, waterfalls and mountain exploring within close vicinity. We stayed for 9 nights and didn't have a single complaint!

Lovely Mountain Home

We had a wonderful week staying in this lake front home. This is the third summer in a row we have rented this property. The newly renovated kitchen, all new flooring, covered deck and comfortable deck furniture made it even more enjoyable. There is plenty to do right there at the house--swimming, fishing, canoeing, paddle boards, fire pit, ping pong table and games. John Drummond always responded to any emails quickly. I would recommend this vacation property to any family looking for a great place to stay on Lake Santeetlah.

Really nice space

The house was great. Very family friendly spaces, with a great space for older kids to hang downstairs. The dock was nice and the cove is very clean. We really enjoyed our stay.

Why they chose this property

We bought this property because we love the lake life. The upstairs loft is perfect for our kids and the back yard gets them outside and running around. Easy gradual walk in access to the water helps first time swimmers.

What makes this property unique

Beautiful Mountain Views with fantastic quiet lake. Wake up in the morning and look at the mountain ridge and know why they call this the Smokey Mountains! The stars at night just pop and light up the night sky. Many lakes have a lot of boat traffic but not this one, it's a hidden gem.
