About this property
Peak View Retreats Family-friendly, Rocky Mountain National Park Reg. 3230
This outstanding home is just minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park. Relax on the deck or soak in the hot tub and enjoy breathtaking views of Twin Sisters, Estes Cone and the famous Longs Peak. This is a perfect stargazing spot, the Milky Way, the stars...right in front of you while you step outside in a dark clear sky! Don't expect to enjoy the views alone - deer, elk and a variety of birds frequently visit. If you are feeling more active, walk out through the backyard and pick up the Prospect Mountain hiking trail to enjoy a 360 degree view of Estes Park, RMNP and the Continental Divide.
The 4 bedroom, 5 beds, 3 bath home includes a spacious open living, dining and full kitchen , outdoor grill area. Don't worry about going over your checked bag allowance because the home has a laundry room with washer and dryer. Direct TV, wireless internet service are also included with your rental.
Our house is almost 8000ft above the sea level, in a peaceful stargazing community without light pollution. In a dark night you can see million of stars, and amazing Milky Way in our front porch and out side of the house, that usually make all photographers and space lovers exciting!
Summer might be the most popular time to visit Rocky Mountain National Park, but all four seasons have something special to offer. Summer opens up the whole park for hiking, driving over Trail Ridge Road, or fly-fishing. Fall is a photographer's heaven with the spectacular autumn colors and the elk bugling all through the park and downtown. Winter opens up a new playground, with snowshoeing (my favour), cross / back country skiing, access to the Eldora ski area. More and more people avoiding heavy traffic on I-70 and heading to Estes Park for winter activities instead.
When you aren't exploring Rocky Mountain National Park, the town of Estes Park is just 3 miles away. Enjoy shopping, restaurants and bars. Most weekends, you can head down to Bond Park to enjoy one of the many festivals. Visit the Stanley Hotel to see for yourself the inspiration for The Shining, or head to the hotel's whiskey bar to sample one of the best selections of whiskey in Colorado.
This house is family-friendly, pack n play, high chair and booster seats are available for your family.

Hi Christine,
It was so nice to host you and family. Glad you all enjoy your vacations. Thanks and welcome back anytime!
Well for winter in Colorado it was pretty warm we did not need the heat or the air until night time. During the day we just opened a couple windows! Check in was great and the owners were so good at communicating!

About the host
Hosted by Jeannie
I work in medical field and so has my whole family. I have been practicing western/eastern medicine since 1985 in China and US.
Besides my busy practice, I love traveling, hiking in the summer, snowshoeing in the winter. I am not a photographer, but love to take pictures. When you stay in our house, you will see some of my pictures I have taken in RMNP printed out on canvas.
I just finished doctoral program from CIIS, with a focus on integrated medicine. I strongly believe our health is a whole health connects with our body, mind and spirit.
Everywhere we travel, we try to stay in vacation rental home, it makes us feel like we are at home. We can make our own meals that meet our diet , save money and relax after a busy day. Better sleep quality without hotel noise is a plus, we can rejuvenate our energy, preparing for the next day adventures.
Why they chose this property
We always love RMNP. We alway show off Colorado by bring our out of town friends here, everyone is in awe about it! The past few years, since the traffic has been getting worse in I-70 leaving us to come to Estes Park, Rocky Mountain National Park more often. It becomes our best playground and best place to relax our body and soul!
We are so excited to have purchased this beautiful vacation home in March 2019, and so happy to share with you!
What makes this property unique
This very unique house facing south. When you sitting in living room or front porch, the beautiful panoramic views just right in front of you. At almost 8000 ft above sea level, you feel like you are so close to the sky and almost could touch it! Stargazing and Milky Way are so amazing!
If you are a hiker, hundreds of miles of hiking trails are just around the property, RMNP just 7 minus away, you will enjoy them so much! If you love taking pictures, especially magnificent sunrises and sunsets in RMNP, you will get your life time memories here forever!
