Gorgeous Home, Perfect Location

Minnie Cottage is the perfect place to stay while visiting AMI. The white sand beach is under a 3-minute (slow) walk, where you will see the most beautiful sunsets. The cottage is exactly as it is pictured, immaculately kept, and has everything you will need, including lots of bath and beach towels, with a backyard pool area that feels like a relaxing sanctuary.

This was an awesome property for our family! The management company was responsive and helpful when needed. The only suggestion would be to have a mosquito company spray around the pool. We can’t wait to go back!

This Florida cottage was picture perfect - decorated with beachside charm, palm trees surrounding the pool and less than two blocks to the beach and beautiful sunsets. We would definitely book this home again.

The home was great, the response time was quick when a television quit working! Pool was amazing! The only suggestion I would have might be to have cushions on the patio furniture. The sunsets were worth the 3 minute walk to the beach!

This was our second trip to AMI but our 1st to The Minnie Cottage and it didn’t disappoint at all! The house was every thing we wanted and exactly as explained. The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of towels and beach/pool stuff. Check in/out was a breeze. The trolley was very close and the beach was perfect just as we remembered. We will definitely be back for a 3rd trip to AMI and this will be at the top of our places to stay!

Wonderful place on AMI

We had a wonderful week in Anna Maria Island! It was our first time there and we were very glad we booked mini cottage. The location was great- in a cute neighborhood with a 2 min walk to a beautiful beach that was never crowded even during spring break week! The pool was a huge hit for our kids and we loved being able to cook in the large kitchen and grill poolside!The place was very clean and we appreciated that towels and linens were included. Thanks!

Friends Reunion

We were 3 couples vacationing at the Minnie Cottage. We picked this property for the closeness to the beach and the beautiful pool. We were so pleased that the pictures accurately portrayed the property. The pool area was great! The distance to the beach was perfect ! Loved the open concept of the living area and the separation of the bedrooms each with their own bathroom.

Slightly misleading description

Overall, great place. Super close to the beach, lots of room for the family. One hiccup was the pool - while the description says it has a heated pool, just know that if it’s summer, they will not turn on the heat. Ordinarily, that makes sense, given Florida’s heat. But Tropical Storm Fred blew through, bringing cooler temperatures and rain, and dropping the temp into the uncomfortable range. I had asked the management company prior to our arrival about the heat (we have a pool at home, so I know it doesn’t take much to drop the temp) and she said I wouldn’t want or need the heat. Well, we did want it. So I called the office a few days after we arrived to ask again and was told they would tell the pool maintenance company. When the pool guy arrived, he told me “we don’t do that” and said in a few days it would warm up. Very true-finally by Thursday we could swim comfortably. But that’s a problem when you arrive on Saturday. Nothing against the pool guy-he apparently wasn’t allowed to turn it on, and he was honestly great. He took the temperature and said it was 88 degrees and it wasn’t. My husband has an underwater watch and it was off by more than 10 degrees. I have rheumatoid arthritis, so a cold pool really bothers me. I chose a house with a heated pool for that reason, so this was a disappointment. I think the description should be amended to say the pool is heated in the off season. Just be honest. If I’d known, then I wouldn’t have been disappointed. Overall, though, this is a nice place to stay and the proximity to the beach was fantastic. If we needed something from the house, it was not a big deal to run and get it.

It does state in the description for the home and the paperwork we send: This luxury home has a fantastic private heated pool. Enjoy a nice meal from your BBQ grill or lounging out in the pool area while you soak up some Florida sunshine! ** If you would like to have your pool heated, we kindly ask that you please contact Beach House Real Estate at least 10 days prior to your arrival so that it ensures us ample time to fulfill your request. We do offer pool heat as needed as a courtesy to our guests at no additional charge. All of our pools and pool equipment are closely monitored by the pool company for your safety, we kindly ask that the controls not be tampered with- most of the systems are locked for this reason. Due to the island's strict 10pm noise ordinance, the pool heaters will not run overnight. Please remember, outdoor spas are not hot tubs (some properties have a spa, some have a hot tub). Generally speaking, our winter months are considered from November through April. During these months we do our best to ensure that the pools are heated to a temperature of 82 degrees. However, please be aware that even in Central Florida we do occasionally get cold spells that can send the temperatures down into the 30's for a few nights in a row. This will cause the pool water temperature to draw down to in the 70's and a pool pump will automatically shut down if the outside temperature gets too cold. The pump will then kick back on in the morning and begin re-heating of the pool back to 82, which may take several days depending on the severity of the cold spell. Ultimately, these situations are beyond our control. Other issues such as severe weather conditions, equipment malfunction, temporary loss of use of equipment or amenities due to maintenance purposes or other items do happen for time to time. Please be aware that Beach House Real Estate cannot issue refunds during your stay based on acts of God. However, please know that in the rare event of pool equipment malfunction during your stay, Beach House Real Estate will do everything in our power to expedite repairs as quickly as possible as we certainly want you to enjoy your heated pool and Florida sunshine to the fullest extent possible!
