Being blunt
Owner was very friendly and easy to work with. The property itself needs help. I have stayed at VRBOs all over the US (probably 25 places now) and this was my worst property yet. There were exposed plugs, nails protruding through the entry door from the garage, thumbtacks holding up wallpaper and a very loose banister up the steep stairs. The paint is very old and makes the entire house feel dirty. The lighting is very poor and the house is very dim at night. Both towel racks fell off the walls when we placed towels on them. The bathrooms/showers felt about as clean as a college dorm based on age and stains. The owner does not provide even basic shampoo so you have to come with all of your own stuff, which was somewhat annoying to have to run to the market for some Suave. This place was fine for our purposes (4 guys over 30) who literally just arrived to sleep and keep moving on our road trip, but I would not use this place if I was with my wife or kids. I don't think she would have entered even for just a quick night stay. The house has a strange layout (maybe this is a CA thing?) and there isn't really a great place to gather. Also, there didn't seem to be much to do in Victorville! It was better than a super cheap motel, but next time I would spring spring for a holiday inn and call it good rather than return here. Listing claims it sleeps 6, but we felt tight with 4 adults. There is one queen bed, two tiny twin beds and a double. If you are over 200 lbs you won't like these beds. There is a strange loveseat (but no bed) in the downstairs room. The kitchen had kind of a sticky residue everywhere, but we didn't use it so I can't complain too much. The garage has very low clearance and you wouldn't be able to get a truck or large vehicle in there at all. Our stock SUV barely fit inside but we couldn't open the rear liftgate or it would hit the ceiling. The garage door also opens out (not up) so careful not to park too close. I wouldn't park on the street in that neighborhood - so this is a real consideration.

Needs renovation and to be cleaned.
We were a group traveling from Utah and Arizona for a funeral in the high desert. The house was large enough to accommodate our group. The house was very dirty. The walls were dirty, the heater vent in the living room was extremely dirty, the inside of cabinets and drawers were dirty, there were boogers on some walls.
It seems some renovations have been done (poorly) or started and not completed.
The owner didn't give check in instructions until a few hours before our arrival.
Some furniture was old and worn while some was brand new with tags still on it.
There was wallpaper being held up in one bathroom by colorful thumb tacks.
The front door looked as if it had been kicked in at one point and not repaired correctly.
The bedding, towels and linens seemed clean and there were plenty!
This house has great potential but I would not recommend renting this house until the renovations are done and it has been cleaned!
Nice house, nice neighborhood for the general location.
Reviews almost kept me away, but I was working nearby for a couple of weeks. Yes, there is 4 bedrooms, one downstairs is currently empty. Others have a queen in 2 and two twins in the other. House was clean with all new appliances. Not everything you want in the kitchen drawers, but everything required to cook is there. The is only one tv, but it’s 65”s and connected to any type of streaming you want. Over all nice house and nice stay. If your looking for 5 star hotel quality, you may as well find a hotel.

Place was not clean was told it was 4br got there it was not but 3 br the fourth did not have a bed
The home has potential but in its present condition fixer upper would be the kindest rating, only one TV and no basic cable for local channels was the pits limited everything and fees excessive for the condition the house was presented in our other guest refused to stay because of overall appearance and neighborhood sadly we would not be using this in our efforts to support our senior travel guides it was an awful experience
