Here are a few kind words from our past guests:
"Great stay located about an hour north of the cities. Plenty of room for all our guests, and the beach for the kids was a plus. Easy lake access for those with boats and good fishing. Would recommend and stay again for any type of gathering!" - Justin
"Fantastic location and amenities!!! Our large family stayed to celebrate a 70th birthday. The ample space fit us wonderfully. The added creature comforts of AC, Wi-Fi, two ensuite main floor bedrooms, and separate upstairs rooms provided some privacy as well. We will be back!" - Laura
"Great location for a large family gathering. While we went in the winter, we got the full winter wonderland experience with tubing and playing on the frozen lake. They have a wonderful deck with a grill that we did utilize. We missed out on the opportunity to use the inviting firepit but opted for the cozy fireplace inside. The house comes with everything you need to make yourself at home, and stores and groceries are less than a 10-minute drive. Definitely worth braving the cold for these Floridians." - Marjorie

Great cabin, great host, absolutely no complaints! Went with my kids, my buddy, and his kids, and everyone had a wonderful time. Comfortably sleeps 11.
Beautiful home on the shore of Lake Pokegama. We had 12 adults with us, so were really happy with the "living/dining/cooking" central space. Would love to stay here another time for the holiday family gathering. Don't forget to drive up to Tobie's for a caramel/cinnamon roll and over to Burnett Dairy for cheese and ice cream and more. Host was very communicative and helpful with any questions during our stay.
Heat wasn’t fully working and it was extremely cold upstairs and anywhere away from the fireplace. Door locks were hard to get opened on the deck patio door. The upstairs bunk beds having the mattresses on the floor wasn’t ideal. Besides those issues it was a nice cozy house.
We had a family gathering with 7 adults and 4 children. We enjoyed the space, both insider and outside, and the lake was shallow so perfect for the kids. The maple table was beautiful and large enough for everyone to eat together.
We enjoyed all the space in the house & yard. There was lots of privacy. We were only disappointed that the water was green so we were not able to play in the lake.
Overall everything was great! The location is amazing, the view looking over the balcony is amazing as well and the kids had so much fun! Also, the host responded to everything we asked right away! We will definitely will rent this place again!
The checkin process was good. The door was unlocked. The cabin was hot, but once we figured out the air conditioning it was very pleasant. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The kitchen was very user friendly. Lots of bathrooms which is a plus. The lake was pretty green! We braved it and went swimming anyway. Lots of fun memories were made!!

There were 3 major issues with our stay.1.) Safety of walking up the steps to the house, they were solid ice. I did notify property owner and he had someone come out in the morning to put down salt, but they did not take care of clearing the ice. That evening there was snow that covered the icy steps and we walked in the snow instead of using steps for our own safety. This should have all been taken care of BEFORE we arrived on Friday night.2. Mice Infestation - we saw several tracing of mice and one dead in the washer. There were mouse dropping in all of the sink cupboards and on the dish rack.3. Overall cleanliness of the place. There facial wipes on the floor of a bedroom when we arrived, the drawers/cabinets are cluttered and we washed all utensils before we used them. The place has potential, just needs some detailed cleaning and organization of closets, cabinets, drawers etc.
We had an excellent weekend. Great long weekend getaway with friends. Lake was really nice for kayaking and swimming. Great location to several golf courses. Definitely will come back again.
The house is spotless and super easy to navigate. The communication is excellent, and I always get a quick response to my questions. They’re really accommodating, too, with early check-in and late checkout options. There’s even enough parking space for my boat, and I can even charge it there. If you’re looking for a cozy mini getaway, I highly recommend this place!
Beautiful house just like the pictures show. We loved all those windows and all the light. Lots of snow was expected and we were assured ahead of time we wouldn’t be stuck his service was there right after the storm and even came back a second time!. Yes we’d rent again. Thanks Andrew.
Great sleeping arrangements. The 2 bunk bed rooms were perfect to separate the boys and girls. The lake was shallow so we didn’t have to worry much about the children and life jackets. Went 100 feet out from shore and water was only 4 feet deep.
We went with a couple of family friends and all had kids between 5-10 years old. Has a nice big yard with plenty of room for the kids to play games and run around. Beds were comfortable and clean. It was really nice how the owner provided firewood. We brought our fishing boat that we were able to tie to the dock and had some great catches! And best of all, it was only an hour north of us making it an easy drive for the kids :) we would come back for sure.
We had a good weekend but the house needs a serious cleaning. From the ovens to the dusty floors and blinds. The manager was great with responding to us about an issue we had. Very roomy and relaxing for our large family.

Family Vacation
We booked this property for a family vacation, it was a good layout where everyone felt comfortable and had their own space. There was good notes, communication and check-in process was very easy. The only negative on this property was that it could seriously use some TLC (tender loving care). There were weeds grown up on the stairs, things were damaged from previous tenants and could use a seriously deep clean.
Great location for a large family gathering. While we went in the winter, we got the full winter wonderland experience with tubing and playing on the frozen lake. family time
It was a wonderful place for my siblings and family for our annual gathering. The place allowed us to spread out, have our own rooms and the grounds are spacious as well for outdoor games and fires. Overall the interior is nice but if. you look closer (kitchen cupboards, closets) they are in disarray. The pontoon was nice to have to get on the lake, but it is very slow and pretty beaten up.

Our Stay
We grew up going Up North to our family cabin with a beach front. The cabin was sold a number of years ago because of parental age/health issues. We rented this cabin for our family (kids/grandkids) as well as my parents. We chose this cabin for the size, the beach front, the pontoon, and the fire pit. The pictures of the house were not current as it was not as crisp and clean as shown (many splinters) and we spent time cleaning the pontoon and beach area; however, the kitchen and living room were wonderful for our family. I would suggest organizing the closets and cupboards but that is just my opinion as I find that to be an important part of all of our VRBO stay.
Our stay was very nice, the property manager was very communicative and even contacted us after check in to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The property does need a little bit of work, a couple boards on the deck are a little treacherous and my dad actually cleaned off the air conditioner on the outside to ensure the AC was optimal. Something to note is the two bedrooms upstairs there is no AC or heating. We weren't expecting that and for July it got a bit warm up there. The trick is to open windows in the back and put the fans in the front windows. Overall my family had a great time! Thank you.
Overall, we liked the house. We expressed some initial concerns to the owner about the cleanliness; but he mentioned that he would have a talk with the cleaners. It took us a bit to figure out how to operate the AC unit, as well, so the first night in the place was extremely warm and difficult to sleep. Once we got the air going, we were very happy! Some instructions on how to operate the AC remote would be great!! At any rate - lots of space for families to stay, kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to cook, superior location right on the water. Very quiet. We will definitely consider this house again for our annual summer trip.
This turned out to be a perfect place to spend a mini vacation with my kids & grandkids. The house is comfortable with a perfect layout. An open concept kitchen with all the kitchen utensils & tools we needed were there and plenty of dishes & glasses & flatware. BBQ on deck. A big plus for us was that we were able to bring pets and the property is large enough that they could play outside without being distracted by roads and other animals, so they could enjoy being out of town too. Beds are comfortable. AC is really big a plus. Smart TV. The deck was great because it has two tables and is just nice and large. Adirondack chairs on the lawn with a really nice fire pit. Great view of the sunset and we happened to catch the full moon too. No bugs to speak of, but probable because it's so dry right now. Lots frogs croaking. We were all very happy staying there. Andrew (VRBO owner) was really helpful. I'm a novice and needed some hand holding.
