Direct Oceanfront 3 bedroom rustic beach cottage. Great beach memories!

One of only a few direct Oceanfront beach cottages left in Carolina Beach that is great for families. Sit on the front porch and watch waves or get up and have a cup of coffee on the porch to a beautiful sunrise. Direct beach views and access. This home was built in 1966 and owned by the same family for 55 years. This cottage offers an incredible beach retreat that is reminiscent of simpler times. Excellent surf break in front of home which is only 100 yards from the Tiki bar. You will enjoy "Mike's Beach", the private beach area at the base of the porch steps on the oceanfront. Want to get away from the beach crowds? You have your own private area to retreat to where you can sun, listen to music, make your own drinks or cookout on the Weber grill.
This is a very unique spot in Carolina beach with ocean views to die for! Sunrises that will amaze you and a location that is convenient to everything! You will enjoy the quaintness of this home and the unbeatable location! Bring your beach bikes and never have to worry about parking! House is a short 20 minute walk up the beach to downtown or a 5 minute bike ride!

Fantastic Again

Our second year staying here. One of the best locations in Carolina Beach. The house has everything we need. Great space off the deck behind the dune, beach chairs, new appliances, fully stocked kitchen. Mike is incredibly responsive.

I spent a week watching the sun come up walking the beach and I love that he has a key you can carry around so you do not have to put in a code every time to want in.

My family just had one of the best, most memorable trips we have been on and were blown away at how amazing this house was. It was perfect for us and the host, Mike, has done a superb job with EVERYTHING! It is the most comfortable VRBO we have stayed at and we felt at home. We had everything we needed, it all worked, it was clean, super convenient, etc. Very cozy and right on the beach with gorgeous views from inside that you wake up too and an awesome ocean side porch to just chill on. Or you can hangout below the house in a couple hammocks. Being able to just simply walk straight out of the house and down to the beach is also amazing. I could go on and on about this experience and all that was so great. Thanks so much Mike!!

Beachfront living!

My family and I loved our stay at Mark’s Beach house. It was big enough and cozy enough for 5 of us (and our pup), and the location couldn’t have been better. Right on the beach, walkable to restaurants and ice cream. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Anniversary getaway

We so enjoyed our stay here, the location was perfect, close to attractions, shopping and many local restaurants. The house was beautiful, had everything we needed and was right on the beach, just right for a couple, the prefect getaway. We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Looking forward to going back again.

Sweet Cottage at the Beach

We really enjoyed the cottage at the beach. Clean, newly updated, comfortable beds, and kitchen equipped with the necessities. Perfect location directly on the ocean, and the pier close by. Close to shops and the boardwalk for great restaurants and fun for the kids. We will definite be back!

Hidden Gem

My family and I had a wonderful stay, we particularly enjoyed seen the sun rise in the mornings and a strawberry moon from the back porch at night. This property is a hidden gem, very clean and just steps away from the beach. I appreciated the clear instructions on check in and check out. The host was always accessible, within minutes they message back and answer my questions. We look forward to another stay in the near future.

I have grown up surfing and loving the beach. After many years of dreaming about a beach house at a great surf spot, I found this property that became available, after 50 years with the same family. I welcome everyone to my dream beach house!

Why they chose this property

Surf4life Beach Cottage is one of the only oceanfront homes on a private street with no public parking. This house has unobstructed ocean and beach views with sunrises to die for! You can sit on the porch and watch the surfers and beach goers. The Tiki Bar is very close and your can see the crowds and hear the live music in the summer time!
