About this property

An Oasis of Calm in a Sea of Activities — ski at the fabulous Nassfeld (8mins)!

This beautiful new light and bright apartment has just been finished. It is in a wonderful quiet location in a small village near Hermagor, Carinthia. It is mere minutes from the fabulous Nassfeld ski area resort, as well as very close to Pressegger-See, which is the only lake in Austria that is reliably warm every summer. Weißensee is in easy driving distance.

The apartment has three bedrooms, a shower room with a separate WC, a full working kitchen, and a large living area with a big dining table. There is also a large terrace off the kitchen.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
Check-out time is normally 10:00, but I can be flexible if previously scheduled
Please don’t start the dishwasher. I always find something else to go in…
Just a reminder, if you forget something, I will happily forward it to you. Austria lets me send this to you, with you paying the shipping. I will charge €25 for this.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Please be sure to keep all gates closed (so my dog doesn’t get out). The exception to this is in winter, when expecting snow.
You can stay outside as late as you like. PLEASE be quiet after 11pm/23:00.
If I am asked to return a forgotten item, I will charge €25 plus postage (paid by the addressee). The €25 must be paid before the item is sent.

Revisited Möderndorf

We rented this apartment for the second time, because we find it very convenient and we love the surroundings. We enjoyed Egger alm, lake piscine, nassfelld and Ljubljana. As allaaus Allie was a very nice host

Gastvrij en comfortabel appartement

Vriendelijk welkomst comité door gastvrouw en lieve hond. Het appartement is ruim en is van alles voorzien en nog meer. Een fijn groot balkon met fijne hoekbank en stoelen. Met uitzicht op de bergen en het Schloss. Gastvrouw is erg behulpzaam en geeft goede tips mbt activiteiten, restaurants, winkels en evenementen in de omgeving. We hebben een heel erg fijn verblijf gehad!

Etwas enttäuscht…Es ist kein Ferienhaus, sondern eine Ferienwohnung im Obergeschoss…bei 6 Personen…1 kleines mit 2 getrennten Betten normalerweise für die Kinder, aber nicht für 6 Erwachsenen nicht geeignet! Kein Haustürschlüssel bekommen sowie im Bad und WC nur Schiebetüren…man kann sie auch nicht abschließen…kein Parkplatz vor der Tür, sondern außerhalb neben der Feuerwehr…

Saubere Wohnung, nette hilfsbereite Leute

Es gibt hier ein großes Wohnzimmer mit einer amerikanischen Küche und drei Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbetten. Die Frau (Allie) ist fast immer zu Hause und steht jederzeit bereit, um unsere Fragen zu beantworten. Es ist besser, mit ihr auf Englisch zu kommunizieren, da sie noch nicht lange in Österreich lebt. Allie hat einen großen Hund (Corwin), daher muss das Tor immer geschlossen gehalten werden. Der Hund ist überhaupt nicht gefährlich.Das Skigebiet Nassfeld ist etwa 8 km entfernt. Man sollte nicht direkt nach Nassfeld fahren, sondern bis zum Millennium-Express in Tröpolach.

Es war so schön, dass wir direkt wieder gebucht haben. Wir waren mit unseren 2 Kindern und 2 Hunden da. Die Wohnung ist gemütlich, geräumig und super ausgestattet. Es hat nichts gefehlt. Allie ist eine hervorragende Gastgeberin.

Sehr stimmige Ferienwohnung

Het appartement was modern ingericht en nieuw en was voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt. Middels een trap via de tuin van de gastvrouw kon je het appartement bereiken. Het balkon was ideaal om te ontbijten of te dineren. De gastvrouw was zeer behulpzaam.

Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Die Ferienwohnung liegt optimal für Ausflüge. Egal ob für Wanderungen oder einen Tag am Badesee. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, da keine große Straße in der Nähe ist. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind mit dem Auto schnell erreichbar. Die Wohnung selbst hat alles was man braucht. Insbesondere die Küche ist mit Kochutensilien sehr gut ausgestattet. Die große Terrasse lädt zum Verweilen ein. Ebenso kann man auch auf dem Sofa einen gemütlichen Abend verbringen. Zwei kleine Nachteile hat die Wohnung. In den beiden kleinen Schlafräumen ist wenig Stauraum (wir waren 4 Erwachsene und 1 Teenager) und ein Zimmer hat nur eine Schiebetür. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt wieder.

Zeit zur Entspannung

Ein toller und entspannter Urlaub liegt nun hinter uns. Auch Dank der wunderschönen Ferienwohnung, in der wir nichts vermisst haben, sowie der herzlichen Betreuung durch Frau Taylor. Selbst Handtücher und Bettwäsche wurden uns zur Verfügung gestellt, was für uns nicht selbstverständlich war. Wir können nur weiterempfehlen!

Tolle Unterkunft

Allie, Hailey und Kerwin haben uns herzlich empfangen. Die Kommunikation war unproblematisch. Die Unterkunft entspricht zu 100% den Fotos und der Beschreibung. Allie hatte immer einen guten Tipp und Idee für Unternehmungen parat. Unsere beiden Kinder waren von den eiden Deerhounds begeistert. Vielen Dank Allie, es war schön bei dir.

Familienurlaub

Der Urlaub bei Alison hat uns sehr gefallen. Sie ist eine nette Gastgeberin und erfüllt jeden Wunsch. Die Wohnung ist sehr liebevoll und komplett eingerichtet. Die Betten waren bereits bezogen und die Matratzen waren sehr bequem. Die Küchenausstattung war mega. Man braucht wirklich nichts mitnehmen. Lappen, Spültabs.....alles vorhanden. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Einen Wunsch an Alison wäre, dass Anbieten der Holiday Gast Card. Somit hätten Familien die Möglichkeit viel Geld für Attraktionen , Seilbahnen und den Eintritt in die Schwimmbäder zu sparen. Ansonsten alles Top.

I trained to be a scientist but ended up working in the wine business. I’m fluent in French as well as English and I’m working on German.

Why they chose this property

The beauty and peacefulness of the area attracted me instantly. The potential for outdoor activity was very important. Also wonderful is how close Italy is! A day-trip to Venice is possible, if a bit long.

What makes this property unique

This house really is an oasis of calm. In summer, you can hear the bees buzzing around in the garden. You can kick back and snooze and read or you can get out and do a million things!
