About the host
Hosted by Stew & Sue (Turner) Foelix
Stew & Sue (Turner) Foelix will be your hosts. We spend summers at Turner Cove and will personally welcome you when you arrive for your stay at Little Red located at Turner Cove. Members of the extended Turner Family members have been present for ~150 years.
Why they chose this property
Isle au Haut is home to the "less traveled" part of Acadia National Park. It is one of only 14 Islands with a year-round population and still has a one-room schoolhouse! Come and taste Island life. Little Red originally served as the East Side schoolhouse and now is a simple and sweet two room cottage. A short walk on a private trail leads you to expansive eastern views at the Turner Cove private waterfront.
What makes this property unique
For those who love Maine's rugged coast and untamed forests, Isle au Haut has unique appeal. Water, wind and light create interplay of natural beauty where no two days are the same. Leave your car and the world behind when you climb onto the ferry and come out to Isle au Haut.
