About this property
A Couple's Cozy Cabin Getaway
Enjoy the sounds of a stream outside the window, just next to the bed & views of a larger brook below. The "Cabin" is nestled in the trees giving a feeling of floating above the brook below. The interior is decorated with family heirlooms gathered from around the country-nothing fancy, just a cozy, simple getaway. 3.25 mi from town. Choose from a variety of activities in town or hop on nearby trails. Please No dogs w/o explicit permission and hypoallergenic only.
The space: Kitchen for light cooking (small sink, small propane camp stove, toaster oven, 3'x3' refrigerator, coffee maker )
Interaction with guests: In most cases I will greet guests and answer questions but no intrusion by owner unless guest is notified or guest requests.
Other things to note: Though most guests dine in town, there is a small propane "camp stove", microwave, 3'x3' refrigerator, toaster oven and coffee maker for simple eat-in meals. The space is approximately 12'X 14'.

Nice little cottage was all we needed for the weekend. Equipped as advertised and a great location. Heat and hot water worked great. Owner was very hospitable. Just a great stay.

Thanks SO much Todd!, Such a pleasure to have you!
Perfect little cabin tucked away in Woodstock. Short drive to town with lots to do. Dave was a super great host with quick replies if we ever needed anything or wanted suggestions of places to swim or eat. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
David’s cottage is wonderful! We already can’t wait to come back and stay again! The location is amazing, private, and just what we needed. David is a gracious and accommodating host. This is a great place. ❤️
This little cabin was great! It is simple, comfortable, easy to access, and provided privacy in a picture perfect setting!
Dave is very friendly and a gracious host. He greeted us upon arrival, ensured we were comfortable, and brought us fresh tea and coffee. Dave even prepared and lit a fire for us near the cabin one late afternoon. Sitting in the brisk VT winter cold evening, next to a roaring fire, nestled atop a hill, surrounded by trees, with a crystal clear brook flowing below, and inches of snow falling, turned into the highlight of our stay. We will return!
Absolutely loved staying here! Dave was a great host. Super accommodating last minute and provided us with lots of fantastic local recommendations. Him and his boys even bailed our car out of the snow! We hope to come again in the summer!
We had a perfect time exploring Woodstock as it was only 5 minutes from the cabin. The cabin itself was very clean, had everything you need and the bed was super comfortable too. Would definitely recommend to others!
What an amazing stay! Peaceful one room cabin with bathroom, spotless, very comfortable bed. Cabin is above a babbling brook, and feels very secluded. Dave, the owner, could not have been nicer, and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. I am surprised there are not more positive reviews on this site, there is a guest book full of tons of reviews just as positive as mine. Thanks again Dave!
