After resting in the mountain air, venture outside and keep everyone entertained in this perfect vacation setting. The Recreation Center / Lodge features a swimming pool, two outdoor hot tubs, locker room saunas, billiards, tennis and bocce courts, and a fitness trail. The complex backs up to Tahoe National Forest, offering miles of hiking, biking, cross-country skiing, and other activities year-round.

Your home away from home is in Carnelian Bay, where all North Lake Tahoe is right at your doorstep! Stroll down to Magic Carpet mini golf or check out Waterman’s Landing, located at Patton Landing Beach, a 3-acre, pebbly beach known for stand-up paddling.

To experience Lake Tahoe gambling and nightlife, Incline Village and Nevada's historic casino Crystal Bay are a short drive away, just across the state line.

Closer to home, you'll find superb dining options right in town like Gar Woods Grill and Pier for steaks and fish, the Old Post Office Coffee Shop for hearty breakfasts, and CB's Pizza for hand-tossed pies and beer.

You're only 10-12 miles from three great ski resorts—Northstar, Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley. Whether you prefer to downhill or cross-country ski, snowboard, snowshoe, or go sledding or ice skating, North Tahoe is the place for winter fun.

At Squaw Valley, after conquering the slopes, go tubing with the kids or try out the mini snowmobiles at SnoVentures Activity Zone. There are dogsledding tours too!

In the Aerial Tram building lobby, kids and grownups can have a blast climbing the variety of routes on the 30’ simulated Headwall Climbing Wall. The house was great! The sheets were incredibly comfy. Might be better to have the bed upstairs as the heater in the bedroom below is very loud, washer didn’t work when we were there but we just hand washed everything. Also be really careful as the walkway down was very very icy when we got there. Both my boyfriend and I struggled to get down the first night.

Great condo beautiful inside and out. Needs a bed upstairs. Doesn't sleep 5, only 4. TV only worked intermittently. Property wasn't ready on time for us to check in. Could be awesome, just pretty good.

Listing says sleeps 5 but it absolutely does not. There was one bed in the house with the flattest pillows, about as thick as crepes. Upstairs has 2 of the tiniest chairs that are supposed to be beds but aren’t. Not enough pillows and blankets for the supposed 5 people. I would like a partial credit

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location and very clean property. The instructions provided via email ahead of time were very clear and made arrival easy. As I recall other reviews mention, the space is fairly bare-bones when it comes to amenities, so be prepared to bring basics like salt and pepper (containers were provided but empty) and shampoo/conditioner (only a bar of body soap was available).That said, the kitchen pots/pans/utensils were well stocked for cooking and we were able to make pasta for dinner without any issues. One area for improvement is the main bathroom drain, it does not drain properly however this should be an easy fix. Overall, knowing what to expect and assuming the drain will be addressed, I would absolutely stay here again given the cleanliness and excellent location.

We just had a quick two day stay. This is the quietest place we have ever stayed. The condo was clean and parking was plenty. The tv situation took a bit to figure out but not an issue. We will definitely look at staying here again.

Snowboard trip

Super convenient for our short snowboard trip. Clean and cute. Hot tub is a bit further from the property (just a minute in the car but would be a long walk in the winter). I’d definitely stay here again.

Lovely weekend

The condo was beautifully decorated, clean and new and was fully stocked with amenities with a view of Lake Tahoe. We were not informed as to the remote location, up a winding road with addresses not clearly marked. In addition, there was a long, steep and slightly icy walk which was extremely difficult for us to carry our luggage and food supplies down, and then up when we left. We did enjoy our stay, once settled.

My only complaint was because we arrived at night we could not find it at all. Google maps only took us to the lower units and being darker had no idea where ours was. Would have been nice to have been sent driving directions.

Everything was perfect! We used to live in Kings Beach and never knew of these townhouses.

We look forward to making a reservation this summer! Just had trouble getting tv to work. Maybe a card with directions. Realized after we l ft on Sat rather than Sun as we were in a hurry to beat the storm, forgot to dump kitchen and bathroom garbage. So sorry!!

Unit was updated and fully stocked with all amenities that we'd need. Complex was so quiet and peaceful. Can't wait to return!
