Bright, Airy, Spacious 2-bed/2-bath, Ground Floor - Aloha & welcome to Makanui @ Poipu Kai Resort. This wonderfully appointed 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom ground floor condo features an upgraded kitchen and bathrooms with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and beautiful wood cabinetry.

The master bedroom offers a king-size bed, a private large bathroom, 46' Flat Screen TV and its own lanai. The guest bedroom provides a king-size bed that can be re-configured as 2 twin beds. It has its own 36' flat screen tv and an adjoining bathroom. The second bedroom and bathroom can be completely separated for privacy, creating 2 king suites. The living room sofa couch has a pull out bed. We can accommodate up to a total of 4 guests aged 13 years or older and 2 younger children.

A great breeze circulates throughout this spacious unit to keep it cool and cozy during your stay. Enjoy your favorite beverage & your latest thriller novel while sitting outside the wrap-around lanai; or simply relax, bask in the sun amid the peaceful garden and take in the garden/mountain view.

The kitchen is fully equipped, including a coffee maker, blender and toaster. You can make pizza, spaghetti, bake cookies, and lots more. Plus a 2nd mini bar fridge offers you plenty of space for your beverages and snacks. There is also NEW full-sized washer and dryer in the unit for your convenience. Also there is plenty of free parking at the condo.

Inside the condo, we have a beach closet that stows an ice chest, boogie boards, beach chairs, tennis rackets, balls, umbrella, beach bags, and, of course, beach towels. Feel free to use any of them - we simply want to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible.

The Poipu Kai resort is surrounded by lush gardens, offering peace and privacy. A gas grill is available for your use just a few steps from the condo. The tropical walking paths throughout the resort are beautifully landscaped and lit for romantic evening strolls.

If you like to play tennis, Poipu Kai has 8 full tennis courts that you can reserve for a small fee. For the golfers, Poipu Bay Golf (home of the PGA Grand Slam from 1994-2006) is less than a mile from our doorstep.

The beaches are less than a 5-minute walk. Activities such as snorkeling, open-water swimming, body-surfing, kayaking, and surfing are offered at Brennecke's, Shipwrecks and Poipu Beach. Poipu Beach has a children's playground and a wonderful, calm and shallow beach suitable for younger children (Keiki Beach). Poipu Beach is rated as one of the world's best, and has lifeguards on duty everyday for your safety. Hike past Shipwrecks beach for beautiful scenery at the cliffs.

As residents of Makanui, you have access to 2 pools. The Makanui pool is right outside our front door. The pool area has both sunny and shady areas, and is a great place to hang out with an ocean view. The Poipu Kai resort pool and hot tub is also available for you to use.

And at the end of your fun-filled day, simply sit back, put your feet up and relax in our comfortable furnishings. Watch your favorite US shows on the flat screen TVs or surf the internet at no-cost.

Within walking distance you can dine at Brennecke's Beach Broiler, Kalapaki Joe's (sports bar) or grab a quick bite from Brennecke's deli. The Grand Hyatt houses 5 restaurants & Stevenson's Library offers live music nightly or enjoy their torch lighting ceremonies and hula nights.
