Location was quiet, clean and in a great location. Carrie was a gracious host who worked with us for a late check out when an activity we had planned had to be rescheduled due to weather. Had a great time and will be back!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

We loved staying at the Cardinal's Nest this weekend! The views were incredible, and it was an easy walk over to the Beech Mountain Ski Resort. We will be back!

cardinal's nest was spotless and stocked with everything we needed except groceries.

this property is convenient to the ski slopes and to everything we needed in Beech Mountain. we will be going back for leaf peeping.

Easy walk to the ski slopes

This was our second stay at this property. Our walk to the ski resort was beautiful with plenty of deer to accompany us along our way. The host is super-friendly. Check in and out is as easy and can be.

Great stay

Had a great stay with the wife and dogs for the weekend. Apartment was perfect for what we needed and within walking distance of the resort. Carrie was a great host. We were concerned about getting down the mountain with poor weather coming in and Carrie offered a late checkout or extending our stay for one more night. Thanks again - we’ll be back for sure!

Fantastic experience from start to finish

My wife and I took our son to the area for his first ski trip and this condo’s proximity to the slopes was perfect! And wow, the views…stunning! Property is wonderful and Carrie’s communication with us made it absolutely seamless. Highly recommended.

Perfect for us

This condo is so well done. It had everything we needed down to the shampoo on the wall in the shower. Everything was very clean, bed was super comfortable. We stayed on Beech Mountain the whole weekend and were able to visit a few restaurants and go hiking. There was no need to venture to other towns unless we wanted to.

Excellent location

The location was amazing, we walked over to the slopes which was nice as the roads were very icy. There is construction around the condo but it was not particularly disturbing. Kitchen is nicely stocked and it is very welcoming to dogs which we appreciated. A snow shovel for the entrance would be a nice addition.

4th of July vacation

Wonderful and relaxing vacation. The location is was perfect. We really enjoyed the Emerald Outback trails 1 mile up the street for incredible trail running and mountain biking. The condo was fully stocked with everything you need and super clean. Our dog really enjoyed the toy selection and hanging out on the deck. Can't wait to return in the fall! Jon Frey

Comfy mountain condo minutes from slopes

We had a wonderful stay at Cardinals Nest condo! Loved all the birds and deer we saw while there. Everything was so clean and comfy and perfect for a short getaway. Carrie provided us an early check in upon our request and was very pleasant to work. Communication was great and seamless. Condo has a beautiful porch view of the mountains and was just a 10 minute walk from ski resort so we didn't have to worry about the stress with parking. We definitely plan on returning!!

Great weekend getaway

We had a great time, skiing, tubing, sledding, as far as the condo goes it has everything you could ever need and more, dishes, silverware, kurig, spices, ziplocks, T.P. Paper towels, video games, board games and more… I just wish the parking situation was better, but we managed!! The unit is on the third floor however it’s only one flight of small stair (just because of how it’s placed on the mountain) to the room!! Hopefully we can come back another time!!

Mountains, Deer, and The Land of Oz.

We enjoyed our stay on Beech Mountain and would definitely stay at Cardinal’s Nest again. The view of the mountains from the condo balcony and the double sliding glass doors that allowed us to watch the sunrise each morning were a couple of our favorite features. The condo is mere minutes away by car from the hiking trails of Emerald Outback & The Land of Oz. We saw deer just outside our door every day of our stay. Thanks for the wonderful memories!

Another Outstanding Experience

This is our second time staying at Cardinal's Nest. The fact alone we choose to stay here again, which was also our second trip to Beech Mountain for our annual ski trip says A TON. The host is WONDERFUL to work with. She is very thorough with assisting and providing details/information, making the entire experience stay that much more enjoyable. The condo is immaculate, so very cozy and complete with all the "things", along with many thoughtful extras one might need or want, creating a smooth, laid back, super vacay getaway escape. The ski lodge is a hop, skip, and a jump away. There is no other place we would rather stay while at Beech Mountain and since we plan to continue our annual family ski trip, Cardinal's Nest is where we will be.
