Cozy, warm cabin. Had a great Thanksgiving weekend with family, meeting there halfway between NJ and SC. Master bedroom lovely. Host was excellent and responsive. Would love to return in spring and summer to walk across the street to the river.
We love this cabin! We’ve been coming to Luray for 7 years now and have stayed in this cabin 5 of the 7 years. Its seclusion, riverfront, great fishing and quiet peacefulness is perfect!
This was our 4th trip to the cabin. We take our annual girls getaway there every year. The cabin & location are beautiful. Derek is great. I would highly recommend the cabin. We all can’t wait to go back next year.
It was a nice, quiet, cozy cabin. There are a few neighbors but they're far enough away to still have some privacy. We woke up every morning to a herd of deer and group of turkeys in the field across from the cabin. The nights are very quiet and dark, perfect for a marshmallow roast at the fire pit.
That cabin is lovely and has a great view of the river from the deck area. The steps are a bit steep but we didn't have any trouble. The kitchen is very well equipment with plenty of dishes and pots and pans.
The house was as advertised! It was close to the national park. It was very clean and well stocked with essentials like toilet paper and paper towels and soaps. The beds were very comfortable with real mattresses, not the foam kind, which we prefer an actual mattress. There was ample seating in the living room with comfortable couches. The fire pit was awesome although you had to get your own wood. (There were a few pieces left there that we were able to use, but we purchased more to last us the entire stay.) The River view was great! We enjoyed staying there and would stay again if in the area. The only complaint we had was that the bathrooms were incredibly small. The showers were tiny. Overall, it was a great place and location! And the only reason we didn't give it the 5 stars was because of the small bathrooms and showers. There is also a very steep walkway to get to the cabin so if you have any sort of mobility issues, that may be a problem for you! The host was very responsive when I had questions. I would recommend this place for sure!
My boyfriend and I had the most amazing time with our dog. The cabin is just 20 minutes from the town, we mostly stayed at the cabin though. If it had been warmer the temperatures it would have been more amazing to use the outdoor amenities. The trip was mostly for the dog, and he really loved. Took him quite a few attempts to go up and down the first set of stairs before he was able to do it with hesitation. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook. Host was helpful answering questions before we arrived.
We had a wonderful time relaxing and unplugging at this adorable cabin. The views were beautiful and the cabin was very clean. We were near lots of hiking trails but yet close enough to town for restaurants and shops.
Everything was easy: check in, temperature control, cooking, resting, and finding activities. Too cold for canoeing unfortunately, but we loved the view of the river nonetheless! Great for mountain goer's of all experience levels.
This was a fabulous place to get away with my family! You are definitely off the beaten path, which is exactly what we were hoping for! My kids asked when we could come back as we were driving off.
