Riverfront flat land! Rustic, hot tub, pet friendly-fenced yard

Lots of flat land! River Ritz is a rustic, 3bd, 2bth 2 story log cabin that sits a few feet from the ELLIJAY RIVER and truly has it all. At this Sliding Rock Cabin try your hand at fly fishing, enjoy a stroll along the river's edge, or tube to your cabin from the covered bridge. Maybe take a meal in the waterside pavillion. In the evening roast S'mores in the riverside firepit, or have a soak in the large outdoor hot tub and watch the river go by. All decks are gated so and there is a FENCED YARD so of course your pooch is welcome!
Main floor offers 2 bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen) & 1 bath with shower/tub combo. Upstairs there is 1 queen bedroom and 1 bath with shower/tub combo. PLEASE NOTE CANCELLATION POLICY BELOW.

Access: Access to this cabin is via gravel, mountain roads. 4 wheel drive is not required, confidence in mountain driving is recommended.

Cancellations, rescheduling, or changes must be submitted in writing and confirmed received by Sliding Rock Cabins® more than thirty-one (31) days prior to the original check-in date in order to receive refund, less a Sixty Five Dollar ($65) cancellation fee. Said changes regardless of reason made within thirty-one (31) days of your original check-in date will result in a forfeiture of all moneys paid. All moneys paid are non-transferable to another rescheduled date. Refunds will be given if Agent can re-book said dates with another guest limited to the extent of rebooking. Agents are not responsible for Guests inability to arrive or if Guests chooses to depart early for any reason, or if members of Guests party do not show up. The cabin is a great place for dogs, especially the outdoor area. While we were there, we went hiking, checked out the wineries and orchards, and visited downtown Ellijay. It was a great trip.

Pet and Kid Friendly

We loved our 10 day stay at the house. The fenced in yard for the dogs and toddler is always appreciated! The house gave us the basics we needed for the first night. We loved the wood burning fire place in the living room and the hammock by the deck and hot tub. Side note: the house can be “rustic” because it’s wood, the walls are thin. But it definitely gives it character. We can’t wait to come back in the summer to play in the river more!

Great cabin and pet friendly!

We loved the location of this cabin and how it was right on the river! We also greatly appreciate how they are dog friendly and don’t limit to a single 20 pound dog like most places do. We were able to bring our 3 dogs and they loved having a yard to run loose in. It was cute how they keep dog bowls and a bed available for those that might forget those essentials. The beds were all super comfortable! The roads weren’t as bad as we were expecting after some of the reviews. It is a long, skinny, windy gravel road but no 4x4 needed and we had no issues. Overall a great stay!

We had a girls trip (myself and my 4 daughters) and we brought our 4 fur babies (3 Golden Retrievers and 1 mini Aussie) The fenced-in yard was perfect for running off energy and the river was amazing. The pups enjoyed swimming. There was a hose in the fenced-in area for washing the pups before we brought them back into the cabin. Blue Ridge was close and a very dog-friendly town. We loved the hammock and hot tub. Would stay again, for sure. Owner left the sweetest handmade totes for us - so special and very appreciated.

Treacherous road and additional charges

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although the cabin itself was lovely, we were required to follow a lengthy checklist of tasks as we left. Keep in mind additional fees which include cleaning were over $200! The road conditions were also treacherous! Vacationers beware! We stayed for the duration of our contract because we were in town for a wedding but another family left their cabin at Sliding Rock due to the stressful conditions of the road which included steep hills, deep ravines and sliding rocks! The drive was so stressful that we left the cabin only when absolutely necessary.

Perfect Getaway!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is a quaint little 3 bedroom cabin in a great spot on the river. It has a fenced yard, firepit surrounded by swings, along with a covered patio directly on river where you can have dinner or just relax in the hammock with a good book! We took our 2 labs and they were right at home! You can also enjoy a dip in the large hottub overlooking the river, only a couple of steps outside the door. The layout of the cabin is perfect and it was so clean and well organized! It has a woodburing fireplace, a grill just outside the kitchen, tv's in the living room and all 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths and a game room. We arrived to a welcome note from the owners and a tote bag as a gift. We travel a lot on short trips to the mountains, long weekends, etc. We've stayed in numerous places but this is by far the best. I didn't even bother to leave a review on the others. They were nice as well, but not like this one. It's the perfect cabin, in the perfect place, for the perfect getaway! Highly recommend!

Relaxing Week on the Ellijay River

This was our 4th time staying with Sliding Rock Cabins and while we've always been extremely happy with the cabins we chose, River Ritz is our favorite! Lots of water front on the property and the outdoor deck was the ideal place to relax and watch the river flow by. All the lovely blooming flowers, shrubs and trees on the property added to the beauty of the outdoor environment. The fenced yard was perfect for our 3 small dogs! We appreciated that it allowed them to access to the outdoor deck where they could safely hang out with us; one of our pups is only 7 lbs and I never worried she would be able to squeeze through the fence or deck railings. The new swings around the firepit were a brilliant idea and we spent several chilly evenings sitting around the fire. While the cabin was smaller than some of the others we stayed in, it offered plenty of room for 4 adults and was well appointed. We found the beds and furniture to be very comfortable. The kitchen was very clean and had everything we needed for those times we cooked in. Can't wait for our next visit!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin and location are perfect for a relaxing get away, with the dogs! The cabin had everything needed, and fenced yard which my dogs loved. There were plenty of board games, and a foos ball table that the whole family enjoyed. My son fished in the river but didn't catch anything, so I don't believe this is a good spot if you are wanting to fish. The only, very minor complaint I have is there was food in the dishwasher from prior renters. I'm assuming it is from people not rinsing off plates before putting them in the dishwasher. I texted the management company but didn't receive a response. We ended up hand washing all the dishes we used. Everything else was very clean, though! I would definitely stay here again. My kids (18 years old) and I loved tubing the river rapids, but there isn't much else to do that we found. The area is good for wineries, though.
