My husband his 2 son's and their wives, my daughter her husband and 2 of my grands and myself stayed at the cabin for the weekend. It was great looking out across the field and seeing deer in the morning from the front porch. Mrs. Linda is such a great host.
Very clean. Comfortable beds and enough room to spread out. Cabins are in a row along gravel road. Beautiful scenery to look at from the porch. Our group of 11 stayed in 2 of the cabins on the property. Would definitely recommend this place for a large group. Very affordable and our host Linda was fantastic
The property provided everything we needed to enjoy our time together. (We had cabins #2, #3 and #4.). Linda was very responsive to our questions.

Don’t do it
No central heat. We ask about it on the first day and the owner said to start a fire which we explained we had 2 babies with us one which was a premie and got sick very easily. She told us to try it and see how the night went. That night the people up stairs got smoked out and had to sleep down stairs on the floor and couch. We went to polar express at 11 and as soon as we got back we went to talk to owner. She was very rude and short. Told us to call vrbo so we did then we had a call with her which she was very rude. If have children don’t go. The pictures also do not match. The view is not that great.

If she had read our description of what is in the cabin, she would have seen that we do not have central heat in the cabins. I told her when she called that we did not have central heat that we had a fireplace, a propane heater and electric heat in the bedrooms. The large propane heater would heat entire downstairs and and as heat rises, the upstairs also. We do have electric heat for the bedrooms and bathrooms. She should have come to the office by 10:00 the first morning if she had expected to get a refund. I talked with another member of her party when he called to apologize for her and said the reason there was smoke in the cabin was that he failed to pull the screen in front of the fireplace to keep the logs from rolling out of the fireplace. One had rolled out onto the hearth and just lay there smoking the place up. If it had not been a stone hearth, we would have lost the cabin as it has hardwood floors. He said it was no problem for him or his family to sleep downstairs. As for being rude and short with her, I told her she would have to go through VRBO to get a refund as she rented through them they had her money. I talked with agent at VRBO about giving her a refund when they sent me a notice that she wanted a refund. I was told that I did not have to give her a refund at all, but I did give her a refund of $100.00 I think she felt that we should give her a total refund for that whole day and night when she had stayed until 2:30 in the afternoon. That kept the cabin tied up where it could not be rented that day if someone had called wanting it. She did call VRBO and the lady there said she tried to tell them that we had no heat in the cabins. I was angry when I heard that as it was a
tOTAL lie.
As for the pictures not matching the property. Our pictures were taken in the summer. The only difference is leaves on trees in summer and no leaves on the trees now. The pictures were taken by a professional photographer. She is the first person to ever say that the pictures did not match the property. We are located at one end of a long valley. We have mountain views all the way valley.
We do NOT ever want this person back and would suggest that no one else ever rent to her unless you want to have a very disagreeable person that feels she is entitled to stay and not have to pay for it if she so choses. If do not do what she wants, she will lie about your place.
My grandkids didn’t want to leave. The cabin is rustic & cozy. Plenty of room outdoors for the kids to play and they especially enjoyed the nearby creek. Linda was a great host and Bryson City is charming. We went mainly for the Polar Express (which kids loved, totally worth it), but there is a lot to do in area. Grandkids “mined” for gems (in spite of the cold), did Alpine skiing and went snow sledding at indoor facility in Pigeon Forge. Only down side was we could have used a bigger water heater (with 11 people) - but didn’t detract from the trip. It was winter when we went, I’m betting that area is beautiful in the spring/summer. We had a wonderful vacation.
This property is conveniently located near Bryson City and the Great Smokey Mountain National Park. We enjoyed visiting both, and we also enjoyed enjoyed coming back to a comfortable cabin, building a fire and catching up with old friends.
The weather was cold and it took us a day to figure out how to get the downstairs warm enough with over heating the upstairs, but we did figure it out.
The hosts were very responsive and helpful with all of our questions.
We found this vrbo listing and messaged the property owner , asking questions about the cabin. We got there and saw we had enough room for all 14 of us. The proximity to the white water rafting place was good. We are local and enjoyed that as well. Overall, we were happy with our stay.
The property was very nice and had anything we needed. The view outside is very pretty and the mountains light up with fireflies at night. Very magical experience! It was also a responsible distance from the places we wanted to visit in the area.
The cabin location was great. We had a situatution in one of the cabins and the owners were quick to correct it and make it right. The large fireplace is great! I would recommend these cabins for large groups.
Real nice owners onsite. Cabin was perfect for three kids aged 2 thru 6, plenty of play room with the open floor plan. Only negative was the price was a little high.
great location with plenty of parking which is hard to find in the mountains great for large groups cabins are huge

I am sorry you were not satisfied with our cabin. I did expect you to not be satisfied with our cabin as you had already ask us to cancel your reservation. We are very disappointed on the condition you left our home. There was garbage and disarray everywhere. Took extra cleaners to get the cabin cleaned..
