Come to the mountains to a rustic cabin by a creek.
This lovely cabin is a non smoking, inside and outside, and no pet vacation rental.
A cabin among the laurels in the northern mountains of North Carolina, this quiet retreat sleeps 4 with a queen size bed in the one bedroom downstairs and two twin beds upstairs in the sleeping loft. You will enter the cabin into the great room with a gas log fireplace enclosed in a floor to ceiling rock wall. The adjoining, open kitchen has stainless appliances and a dining area.
The bedroom has a queen bed, armoire, and night table . There is an overhead fan and a pedestal fan. From the bedroom, one can access a half bath or continue through to a full bath with a shower. The half bath also has a washer and dryer.
Just a step or two out the back door of the bedroom and you will be on a screened porch with a swing and you will see and hear a bubbling, rock filled creek. The sounds are wonderful and you are likely to see deer around the area. An open porch with a picnic table rounds off the back of the cabin. For skiing, Appalachian is 28 miles, Sugar is 36 miles, and Beech is 45 miles.

Our family really enjoyed our stay in this charming real log cabin. We were in town for the weekend visiting our college freshman, and it was absolutely perfect for us. It was clean, beautiful, and we had everything we needed for our stay. We look forward to staying here again on future visits.
We enjoyed the cabin very much it was great for the two of us. Very rustic but, had everything we needed. If you want peaceful place close to West Jefferson this is the place. Would definitely stay here again.
My husband and i wanted a new years weekend getaway and be close enough to west Jefferson. The cabin was spacious and clean. We enjoyed our stay there very much and want to return in the future.
This cabin was perfect for a quiet mountain getaway. It was comfortable, very clean, and the owner had helpful notes throughout, so we never had any questions. We could have spent all weekend hanging out on the front and back porches. We saw lots of deer in the morning in the front, and the back is right next to a tiny creek, so it was very relaxing. It’s also conveniently located. We were only 15 minutes from downtown West Jefferson or tubing on the New River. Would absolutely stay again!
Just a quick little trip to mountains but a perfect cabin for us. The host, Katrina, could not game more helpful and very responsive. We loved sitting on both front & back porches enjoying the sound of the stream right outside. Gotta say the deer loved the area too, walking through yard and not timid at all. This will definitely be a repeat destination.
My family and I enjoyed this cabin. There are some other cabins around it but it still felt private and secluded. It has a rustic feel which we enjoyed. We had multiple deer visit us everyday and they enjoy apples. The cabin had everything we needed. Would recommend.
This cabin seems remote yet is in a wooded neighborhood setting. The porch was amazing. The furniture needs updating and the kitchen is missing some items like cutting boards, large bowls that made cooking hard.

Kendy, the cabin is rustic with just enough furniture to be comfortable. I am sorry it was not satisfactory. The kitchen has been stocked with sufficient items for cooking and if some were missing, I will definitely replace.
We had issues with the gas fire place, weather was cold those couple of days. The owner tried to repair the issue but with no luck.
Over all, very nice, great location.
Thanks, RandyBeeson
House was very clean and host was easy to communicate with if needed. Setting was beautiful and the neighborhood was nice and quiet. We loved sitting by the gas fire for a nice relaxing weekend in the mountains.
The cabin was delightful. It had everything we needed and was so cozy. Sitting on the back porch listening to the stream is the perfect way to start and end the day. The property manager was beyond accomadating and lovely. We will be back for sure.
The cabin was absolutely perfect. So peaceful and relaxing and well stocked. It was 3 of us that all love the Wizard of Oz and we felt very safe. We loved it!
It really is an ideal cabin, and if you really want some quiet time and peace this is the spot. It really does have a flowing creek right next to the back patio/porch. You can hear the water flowing smoothly. The back patio is the best spot. The interior has everything you could want: Roku television channels, and YouTube, dishwasher, refrigerator, stove, microwave. wifi, with a stone chimney fireplace. The interior also has bright redish gold wooden floors and fresh wood paneling. The inside is fresh and comfortable and the outside has the old rustic look.
I truly enjoyed staying at the cabin. It was secluded & peaceful! Very clean! Everything that you would need in the kitchen, bedroom & bathrooms were provided. I loved the closed in porch & the swing. Sitting out there & listening to the birds & the creek was so relaxing. The bed was completely comfortable. Had the best sleep I have had in a long time. Also, being able to watch programs on the television that we watched years ago was absolutely awesome. We hope to go back soon.
At time of making reservations I missed the part that cabin didn’t have A/C; but, being surrounded by trees and ceiling fans there was no need for it. We needed a blanket the first night while watching tv.
Thanks so much to the property owner for making my first-ever VRBO stay so easy!
Communication was fantastic, and no issues throughout the stay. The location was also perfect for us as my parents live right up the mountain and the commute was a breeze.
If you’re looking for a rustic cabin getaway, I highly recommend this listing!
Thanks again for making this such a memorable experience.
This place is a little like we hope Heaven will be. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. If this is what you are looking for... this is the cabin for you. The creek was the jewel in this crown. We could not stay off of the porch! We did not want to leave. Can't wait until our next visit.
