What's better than beachfront? Our place! We are directly across the street from the beach, so you get the convenience of beachfront without the beachfront prices. You are a shorter walk to the beach from our condo than you would be in the big resorts with 'beachfront' prices.

Come relax and feel the sand between your toes in beautiful South Padre Island. This is the perfect place to get away from it all. Even better, is our location. We are directly across the street from the beach, and there is a beach access just steps from the condo. It's like being beachfront without the prices! There are no hotels around us, so the beach is not as crowded and the neighborhood is quiet.

Stream your favorite apps, ZOOM, eLearn, etc. with high-speed WIFI internet. Our condos are pet friendly and kid friendly. They are also great for a romantic getaway. Are you setting up a girls' weekend or reunion? You can rent out an entire floor or the whole building and have a private vacation!

New upgrades: Keurig coffee maker, Berlin Gardens outdoor pool furniture, 6 beach chairs, 1 Tommy Bahama beach umbrella, 6 beach towels and a beach wagon. Custom outdoor pool table and outdoor TV in the pool area.

We are thrilled that you are looking at spending some time with us at Athena Ares Condominiums. Our beach home is a pet friendly, family vacation rental. We give 10% discount to Military, Police, and Firemen. The traveler securing the reservation must be 25 years of age or older. For Spring Break / Semana Santa all rental guests must comply with a families only restriction. If the dates that you are looking for are not available in this condo, we have 5 more fantastic condos in the same great complex that might work for your dates. We would appreciate the opportunity to accommodate your stay on the island.

Overall it was a good experience. Pretty much everything you might need at home to cook is there, albeit a hunt to find it. Parking is excellent and location to beach superb. As for me, my house is kept significantly cleaner. We have friends who live on the island who also rent thier personally owned condo most of the year, and they also struggle to find competent cleaning services. For the price, its fair, but in the future, I will probably opt for a 5 star hotel suite instead.

Relaxing winter

We enjoyed our stay at Athena Ares!! All the comforts of home. Everything you need for a day at the beach with a perfect patio to relax in the evening. Everything about this location is perfect. The beach is right across the street. Walking distance to several restaurants. Enjoyed our stay!!

Great weekend

The condo was great, very clean and had plenty of room. My family enjoyed our little get away and enjoyed the pool which was very clean and very well maintained. The location of the condo was great, just a short walk to the beach where we all enjoyed the sand and water. I would definitely recommend this property to others and I see my family returning to this condo again.

Birthday Vacation

This has become our annual birthday/anniversary spot. We love the home away from home vibe. Some days we wanted to have family time and watch movies, and other days we wanted to go for a swim in the pool or enjoy the day at the beach. Another added bonus is our furkids get to enjoy this with us as well. We have had an amazing time each time we have booked at Athena Ares. Martin and Diane are the best.

Could not have asked for more

Great location and wonderful space. There was nothing we needed that the host hadn't already thought of and had in the home. I will stay here again and hope to do so soon,. The host even made it possible for us to extend our stay.

Why they chose this property

The location is great! We can easily head back to the condo for lunch or just to grab more digging stuff. Then it's just a 1-2 minute walk back across the street and we are there, in the water! We also love walking down to the Wanna Wanna Inn for fried shrimp, cold beer, and good music. When our family comes to visit, we stay in all of the condos and spread out. We get to enjoy being close together without listening to each other snore!
