We will introduce the property in details including the feature of the location.

The House:
This is a spacious modern Japanese house. It provides modern comfort by Japanese high tech.
two western bedrooms + one Japanese tatami room, 2 toilets (washlet), and 1 bathroom. We provide real beds with high quality mattress, super comfortable to sleep in.

The bonus features:
A full size well equipped kitchen and dining area for our guests to cook meals and enjoy family/friends gathering.
Not only oil, salt, pepper, but also coffee & tea are provided
Wash machine with dryer function, laundry detergent is provided too.
Dehumidifier system in bathroom can dry clothes properly in rainy season.
Each room has air conditioner to keep our guests warm in winter and cool in summer. Plus, floor heating system in the living room.

Great base for our Kyoto adventure

The house was well set up. It had everything we needed. All appliances had simple instructions in English that were easy to follow. Communication with the landlord was easy and always quick helpful replies. This house was well situated for trainees, grocery store and local sightseeing. We enjoyed being able to simply walk to the flea market at Toji temple. So convenient. Highly recommend.

We were family of 5, where father could not have taken stairs upto bedrooms on higher floor. Bliss was kind to put several beddings on the first floor tatami room. Convenient location to Toji station and Toji temple. Nice clean well maintained house.

Near the Toji Temple

We really enjoyed the multi level apartment, but the inside stairs were so narrow and difficult to get our luggage upstairs. There are a lot of beds, comfortable futon sofas (which seem to be rare), and everything we needed in the kitchen. The clothes washer works great too. Maybe the place just needs some wall art and sofa cushions to make it more cozy?!?

Toji Temple

This was an authentic Japanese house. It has 3 floors and a steep spiral wooden staircase. Bath and laundry (plus tatami room and toilet) on 1st floor, kitchen livingroom and 2nd toilet on 2nd floor, then 2 bedrooms on third floor. It was a lot of going up and down stairs, but the house was clean, well equipped, and great location.

Fantastic stay in Kyoto

Property was exactly as listed. Easily accommodated our family of 7. Bliss was extremely helpful in answering any questions I had. She was very responsive. The package sent before arrival with helpful information and maps in both English and Japanese was invaluable. We wish we could have stayed longer in Kyoto. Definitely will next time. Definitely recommend!!

Our favorite "home" during our trip to Japan

This home was huge! We were a party of four and everyone had plenty of space. I imagine larger families would still be pretty comfortable here. Communication from the host was amazing. I felt very comfortable that our stay would be ready and waiting for us when we arrived, and it was. The bikes were a nice addition that I wish we'd taken advantage of more. They have locks attached and keys in the mud room. The washer/dryer was a great convenience. The heater and dryer in the washroom was luxurious. Having two toilets was nice too. The stairway is small, and I recommend using the handrail! You can see Toji Temple from the bedroom window. Amazing stay. Highly recommend.

Nice home near train station and local food

We appreciate that the home was traditional style and not shared. It is not a hotel. It was clean, the kitchen had good amenities. I will say that families need to consider a few things. The bedrooms are on 3rd floor behind a door and the sitting room & toilet is on the 2nd floor behind another door. If you need to hear your family members keep in mind that can be tough with this layout. Also there are some bright emergency lights that caused us to close our bedroom doors to block light. I would have liked to keep both bedroom doors open to hear my kids but no one could figure out how to block the lights. They are helpful in emergency. We left our two heavy suitcases on the 1st floor the entire stay and that worked for us. We did not want to squeeze up the narrow winding staircases with them. The bath/shower were 1st floor so it was convenient. We reached out to manager through VRBO about an issue and it was corrected quickly and politely. The location is good and very close to Toji station and Temple. It is also very close to 2 markets and a 24 Fresco grocery store that we used often. We walked our suitcases to Toji station and connected to Kyoto station easily. Good food nearby.

Bliss has two properties, we stayed at her property close to the Imperial Palace

It was a great place to stay very Central close to the Imperial Palace wonderful place to walk. It was a three-bedroom accommodation up on the third floor no lift but doable. Very very very clean. Very comfortable beds. The kitchen was perfectly outfitted. The washer works well the dryer doesn't really dry to US standards but there is a laundromat a block away with dryers. We would stay here again.
