A perfect place to stay in a very walkable area! 10-15 minutes walk to shopping and many food options or 5 mins walk to public transportation. Clean and very comfortable accommodation!
We loved our stay here! The townhouse was very spacious for our family of four and very comfortable. The location is fantastic, very walkable to Gion and Pontocho, and just beautiful.
Great, quiet location!! Spacious and comfortable, highly recommend. Short walk to busier area which was nice since the crowds can get to be a bit much.
Property was clean and in a great location. Old charm with modern amenities. Lots of space for a family of four. Communication with host was excellent. No problems checking in or questions during our stay.
Great accommodation- we were 6 people and there was so much space. Also well situated, near the train station and attractions within walkable distance. Super practical with a full kitchen and washer & dryer. Highly recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We had everything we needed and the host was quick to respond to any questions we had. Great for families! Kitchen is fully stocked.
we loved this perfect location. we even got friendly with the charming bar across the way. it was extremely clean and quiet and very comfortable. full kitchen was convenient.
Very reasonable price for Kyoto. There was a big room that essentially slept 6 and another room that slept 2. Full bathroom on the main floor and another half bath on the lower level. We had to schedule showers, but that was no problem.
We came to Japan to experience the culture for a few days. It was a magical experience, especially staying here in Kyoto. Having a traditional Japanese townhouse to stay in was perfect for our needs. We were close to the train/bus for easy access, and shopping/dining was not a far walk. It was quiet, peaceful, and just an amazing little place to stay. Thank you for having us!
Great place to stay in Kyoto, everything went smoothly, communication with host was great! Place was very spacious, has two separate toilets was great only one shower! Neighborhood was a very quiet peaceful place, within walking distances to major areas (15-20min walk) otherwise we indeed everywhere! Would recommend this place! Thank you!

Fantastic accommodation
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this house. It was spacious enough for 3 kids and 4 adults and was in a prime location. It is a quiet street, yet only a short walk from downtown action. Our American kids especially liked the Japanese games and the toilets. I found the washer/dryer combo to be a life saver. I would definitely want to stay here again
Great space for a family of five. My husband and I slept in the bedroom with western style twin beds and our children each had their own full size tatami beds. Our son and daughters were able to close screen doors for privacy which was wonderful. Kitchen and living space worked well for breakfast in the mornings. The upstairs bathroom vanity area is very small so nice to have another half bath option on the ground floor. Neighborhood is fantastic - be sure to check out the little bar (Robbin’s) across the street - great to converse with the owner, staff (Rocky!), locals and other travelers. Easy walk across the river to access restaurants, shopping and attractions. Kyoto is incredible - could have easily stayed another week!
Apt is in a great location and the perfect combination of getting to experience a traditional Japanese home but have western amenities available. The biggest issue we had was taxi drivers even after showing a map of the property could never figure where to go.
Our host, Bliss, was in contact before during and after our stay. We had 4 teenagers with us and we needed bedroom space and this property delivered! Two large bedrooms for our teens that were adjacent to each other and our bedroom was in the other side, which was divided by the kitchen and living room. We liked that the two bathrooms with toilets were separated from the shower/tub. Kitchen and living room is really small but kids stayed in their rooms when we weren’t out. Close to rail/bus stops, 7/11 and small restaurants and coffee shops. Recommend this place.
Four of us had a wonderful stay at this house located in the Gion area of Kyoto. We saw geishas walking close to our vacation home on two occasions. With four of us in our group, we took taxis to the many temples, gardens and other sights during our stay, making traveling exceptionally easy. We were so happy to find that we were just a couple of blocks from the river where we watched the cranes fishing and enjoyed strolling on a beautiful fall day.
The steep stairs to get to the main floor were difficult for one person in our group. This house is not recommended for the elderly or anyone with disabilities.

Beautiful, traditional Japanese apartment in a fantastic location. Well equipped for cooking (although I didn’t cook). Very comfortable and the AC worked great.
Perfect house for our stay with our 3 children over Christmas. Good facilities and excellent location - just a short walk over the river into the centre of Kyoto. Plenty of space.
