LAST MINUTE BARGAIN Vail Cabin with Spectacular Views, one of a kind views!
BE SURE TO INQUIRE BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO BOOK! Sometimes we have minimum stays, and other times we don't. Many of our guests covet the unique experience that only we can provide. HERE'S WHY OUR PLACE is so SPECIAL: Different from typical 'condos' where you are surrounded by noisy tourists, parking lots and cars, our Historic cabin is one of the first and only remaining original ski cabins in Vail, dating back to the inception of the resort in the early 1960's. With spectacular one of a kind scenery and very secluded, surrounded by protected undevelopable lands, it is not at all uncommon to see wildlife right from our windows/deck. While MOST places these days seem to advertise pictures of views from 'nearby', ALL of our images are taken right from the deck or windows of our home on our acre of land that is surrounded by Forest Service open space. And to be honest, most people say our pictures don't even do our views and privacy justice (check out the reviews where guests have actually said just that in the review!!). Meanwhile and amazingly, our half-duplex is RIGHT IN East Vail, just a few steps from the FREE Town of Vail shuttle bus to the ski slopes and chairlifts or shops and dining. The free shuttle bus is only a short walk, and the bus ride itself only takes about 10 minutes. If you'd rather drive than take free public transit, we are just 5 MINUTES from the slopes. We offer full kitchen, living room with recliner, t.v., dvd, dining area, large deck, 2 bedrooms, 1 bath and wood burning fireplace and the BEST, most secluded VIEWS in Vail. Our location has also been renown by our guests and Vail locals for its amazing access to fantastic cross country skiing, hiking, ice climbing, bike path and mountain biking as well as RIGHT FROM OUR FRONT DOOR! With private access to forest service lands, while still RIGHT in town just a few steps from the bus shuttle. Questions about our one-of-a-kind Vail cabin? Shoot us an email and I'll get right back to you! NOTE: There are about 10 relatively gentle (not steep) stairs to access the front door coming down from the driveway. We offer some of the MOST REASONABLE RATES in Vail while still providing the most cozy, secluded and spectacular of locations!! Also, please email us about availability. SOMETIMES WE HAVE MINIMUM STAY REQUIREMENTS, other times, we might be able to accommodate a short stay, so, ALWAYS INQUIRE BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT TO BOOK WITH US!! We have security cameras OUTSIDE. NO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 6 YEARS OLD. NO PARTIES OR DRUGS OR EXCESSIVE DRINKING!!! NO FULL SEASON RENTALS AVAILABLE PLEASE DO NOT INQUIRE IF YOU NEED A FULL SEASON!! Generally, longest stay allowable is 2 to 3 WEEKS maximum during the ski or summer tourist season. Exceptions might be possible, especially during the April-May or October-November time frames for this maximum stay length. PETS: be sure to COMMUNICATE IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT BRINGING YOUR PETS. Common question ABOUT ACCESS--4x4 is recommended in winter (throughout Colorado), but NOT NECESSARILY required for access. Town of Vail maintains our road, but we DO NOT have daily snow removal from our driveway or walkways and we are NOT ADA accessible!! We look forward to providing our affordable half duplex cabin to you on your next trip to VAIL!

For lack of a better word, the location was spectacular. However, the towels were covered with somebody else’s hair, the couch looked like it had been used as an ashtray and then cleaned, and the pillows appeared dirty. Upon looking for more pillows, we couldn’t find another without a red or yellow stain. The host was communicative and offered great advice on local trails, which certainly helped save the trip!
The cabin was easy to access and our host, Peter, was, too! The sound of rushing Gore Creek lulled us to sleep each night. The cabin is a short walk to the East Vail bus stop. We provided a summer bus schedule for future guests. Great location!

The place was fine. Good location Just not a clean feeling. Rugs in bathroom should be replaced and new towels and sheets and bed spreads would be good. Windows and decking needs repair. Deck furniture and grill very dirty.
My wife and 6 yr old stayed in this lovely cabin while on a family trip to Vail. the accommodations were comfortable, quiet and easily accessible to free bus to Vail resort! the local grocery store was very nearby so also convenient! we will def rent again.
This little, charming cabin reminded me of staying in the mountains in my childhood. It is lovely and quiet. We really enjoyed the view!!!

Rustic cabin in a nice neighborhood on a creek
We liked the location and found it easy to use the Vail bus. Overall we were disappointed. Essentials were missing: shampoo, adequate towels, only 1 wine glass, blinds on the windows in bad shape, bakeware was rusty and the kitchen needs a thorough cleaning.

Barb lied about bringing pets. Did not tell us she was going to until the last minute and then refused to pay the pet fee that we have listed clearly on vrbo. She is dishonest, and so you should not rent to her. We certainly will not be renting our beloved home (with 27 reviews from other guests ranking us at 4.5 stars) to dishonest guests like her again
We enjoyed our time at this cabin. It was a great home base for us while visiting family. Very comfortable and accommodating. Plenty of beautiful sites so close to the cabin to explore. Definitely planning to book again!
This what the perfect space for our family. Great location and easy to communicate with the owner. Affordable with a good kitchen set up for making dinner at home. Thanks Peter!
We enjoyed our stay. We loved that Vail Village was only a 10 minute shuttle from the rental. The shuttle station pick up location is a quick walk from the rental. The hosts were also very responsive during the stay!
The quant chalet was the perfect respite for a long weekend of skiing and hiking. It was quiet and warm with beautiful views and access to trails right outside the door. I've been coming to Vail since 1987 and seen many changes through the years, but this place took me back to what authentic Vail is all about: the mountain experience!
The cabin was great for our needs. We went exploring up Pitkin Creek and never had to get in a car. Host was helpul and available. We would go back again.
Buddy and I stayed for 4 nights while out skiing at beaver creek and vail. This cabin was perfect for what we needed. Close to bus stop for vail yet tucked away giving you the feel you are in a secluded part of the mountains. Cooked breakfast each morning and had a fire each night while we recovered from the skiing. Will be staying again.
Came to participate in the GoPro Games. It was quiet and close to the competition. I have no complaints. Loved my river view.

Vail stay
We had a good stay. The shower was a disaster with very little hot water. The availability of comfortable seating was poor. The view from the deck was great.
What you see is what you get! This is a one of a kind property which fit our needs perfectly. We had a wonderful relaxing stay to enjoy the Vail region, as well as providing us a “home base” to visit our son during his days off from work in the village. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

Thank you, Dave. We appreciate your taking good care of our beloved cabin and we can't wait to host you again soon!
Location is great, quiet, a stream in backside, mountains with Aspen surrounded, the beds were bad,.
Most of equipment dilapidated and old, Pillows were stained, poorly kept property.

We're glad the vast majority of our recent guests have specifically mentioned how clean our cabin was for them. In terms of "dilapidated equipment", I'm not sure what that means. Our appliances work fine and are shown in our images. We do not claim to have fancy granite countertops or stainless steel refrigerators. We like our quaint cabin to have a rustic feel. We wish Srini the best in finding another place for his next Vail visit, with a location as amazing as ours, and with rates as affordable as our rates.
This is a very nice little place to rest after busy fun day in vail and watch sunrise over beautiful mountains. Bring your own towels because the provided towels are pretty ruggedy. Bring allergy medicine if you’re allergic to pets because it’s pet friendly you can definitely feel it if you’re sensitive like me. Bring your coffee and whatever else to stunning views and sound of the river. We had a nice time. Definitely recommend it.
It was a relaxing and beautiful spot. definitely for anyone that needs to get away from the busyness of life. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to enjoy a cozy fire and the sound of gore creek when the sliding glass door is open. I had a Good time.
Hearing & sitting on deck by river wonderful. Could be even better by better chairs . Only way to have 4-6 people with the one bath is if small children or young adults . lol ! Perfect for the 2 of us.
As clearly stated in the rules at least 5 times, we did not go fishing.
Great place, nice clean cabin. Couldn’t use grill or fireplace. Liked the quiet isolation.

Thank you for helping to prevent additional wildfires by not using the grill and fireplace during the heat wave of September when you were there, Dale! Local authorities advised "no use of grills and banned woodburning" to prevent additional wildfire dangers! And thank you for the 5 star review as so many others have given us both here on VRBO and other sites!
