It was 15 minutes from Sugarloaf, which was great. There were a lot of dead flies and ladybugs all over when we arrived, and a very steep, slippery driveway from the snow earlier in the day. The property was very cool, and a good value for the size.
Excellent space to stay for the week. Allowed the group to come back to a warm space to relax after a day on the trails of Sugarloaf. All of the amenities that we needed were availalbe. Frank was very helpful with sharing details regarding the house.
Our family had a wonderful second stay at Tahoe East! The cabin is both spacious and cozy - with a great kitchen for cooking after-ski meals and plenty of space for our family to spread out or gather together. We love the furniture and the special things that the host has collected - books, art, etc. Some call this "clutter" but we call this cozy and homey. Perfect mix with great views and close proximity to Sugarloaf Mtn. The host is a great communicator and quickly answers questions - he is a wonderful person who has had an amazing life, lots of great stories - we love talking with him. We will return again!!
Frank is a true Maine gentleman with a special place up there in Kingfield. The cabin is exceptional - privately nestled among the birches just above the Carrabassett River, minutes drive to Sugarloaf and the best in local eateries. You’ll marvel at its delightful wood carvings, lose yourself in the morning view from its soaring livingroom windows, and relish in the evening warmth from the amazing stone fireplaces. When the snowy winter winds blew through the valley, we were perfectly warm and comfortable. This was the ski retreat my kids were hoping for. We very much enjoyed staying at Tahoe East and getting to know Frank through it.
We had a great time at Tahoe East. It was such a spacious and cozy place to stay with a few friends for our ski weekend. Everyone was impressed with their stay!
We all had an exceptional stay at Tahoe East! Great cozy home with awesome layout, games, and lovely views and access to the river. Would love to stay here again soon.
We spent time at the log cabin with family and skiing at Sugarloaf and in Rangely. A great spot for all. Even our two labs loved it! We will likely rent again.
Frank was friendly and easy to communicate with. We stayed here for my daughter’s wedding. The groom and groomsman got ready at the house. It was perfect. The photographer loved the rock stairs and the many photo backgrounds. Thank you Frank. We will recommend your home to anyone looking to stay in the area.
The log house is amazing, situated in the woods, but not far from Sugarloaf ski area. It is very cozy and spacious, it has everything needed, plenty of common areas and stuff for entertainment, we had a great time two families with high school age kids. The owner was very helpful with any questions we had. I’d definitely stay again.
We had a great stay at Franks log home. Frank is very responsive and the property has everything you need. Beautiful views of the river! We enjoyed hiking, Sugarloaf Mountain, and driving to Rangeley. Would definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed our time at Tahoe East. It was a great “home base” while we enjoyed Sugar Loaf. The home is beautiful and Frank was a good host. We spent a lot of time in the game room. We highly recommend Tahoe East.
We stayed three nights. Frank has a special place. Cozy and loaded with things for every member of the family. Frank is a pleasure to deal with as well. We will be back!
My family and I had a wonderful stay. Frank was very responsive and helpful with any questions.
The property has everything you would need on vacation with a large kitchen and dining room, Multiple rooms spread out over three floors and a pool table as well.
We will definitely be back again.

Beautiful log house that is built in the woods overlooking the Carrabassett River. Our group of six was there for skiing and to watch the eclipse. We had excellent views of the eclipse from the wrap-around deck. The log home is more like a private lodge, beautifully furnished. The owner Frank was very helpful with check-in and what do do in the area.

Not like other VRBOs I've stayed in
Two hours before arrival, I sent an email to the host asking how to access the property. When we arrived, we were met with 2 bags of trash and a cooler full of rotten food sitting at the bottom of the stairway just inside the door. The power had been interrupted so all the clocks were blinking, and we were not able to get the internet to work. There were personal items throughout the property. Clothing in closets and drawers, medications in the cabinets and drawers of the bathrooms, family photos and cabinets full of food. It looked as though someone lived there full time. There were 3 dead flies lying on the table and when looking for the washer and dryer we found a bucket containing dead mice in a closet. The refrigerator shelves were dirty, and the dishwasher had dishes in it that didn't look clean. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but left after one because we did not feel comfortable,
