Our families had a wonderful stay with everything we could possibly want under one roof. A huge space across both levels, everything to cook with, tons of bathrooms, nice beds, a room to work with solid internet, indoor hot tub, 2 car garage parking. A great place to enjoy Sugarloaf!
This house provided everything and more for our ATV trip. Hosts were amazing and easy to contact. We didn't want to leave and will book again in the near future.
We came to ski at Sugarloaf and were concerned about the location being at a distance, but all agreed that the drive was not a problem at all and the comfort , spaciousness and beauty of the home as well as the magnificent views of the mountains to the west made our annual visit to the area the best ever. An added bonus was a loft with lots of space for a ping pong table which we used for a family tournament. Great fun!mountains
Terry was a wonderful host! The home is beautiful and the views are hard to beat – the pictures do not do it justice. The welcome book with notes was wonderful – we were able to easily navigate all the features of the home. The speakers wired throughout the home were also added bonus. We had a very relaxing weekend and certainly will be back!

Thanks Jamie. You and your crew left the house in great shape; we could hardly tell anyone was here! So glad you enjoyed it!
This amazing house has everything a group is looking for. Whether it’s playing ping pong, board games, watching movies or just relaxing by the fire pit, there’s plenty for everyone. The location is amazing and is conveniently located just a little over 30 mins away from white water raffling which was a blast. The pictures don’t do the house any justice as the layout is amazing including the indoor hot tub. Terry is quick to respond and we would definitely stay here again! This place is awesome!!
Spent three days/four nights skiing at Sugarloaf between Christmas and New Years with my family and one other family - four adults, four teens in total. The Kingfield Kastle was fantastic. We've been renting houses/condos near Sugarloaf for the past ten years and this was definitely one of the top one or two places we've rented. We've stayed at some places that are clearly intended for the rental market only - i.e. lower quality construction and missing some basic things like decent pots and pans. The Kingfield Kastle was thoughtfully built by someone who cares about the details and spends time there. The house was beautiful and high quality with everything you need for a great trip. Plenty of space, great kitchen with all of the cooking equipment/utensils you could ask for, real wood burning stove, great sound system, hot tub, games, beautiful views of the surrounding mountains - this place has it all. On top of it all, the owners were super to deal with - friendly, super responsive and they had excellent instructions for how everything works throughout the house. I would highly recommend and would happily go back.
The kastle was perfect for our friends ski weekend at the loaf. The place was picturesque. The whole house being wired to cast music in different sync'd zones was an amazing surprise. Sunsets are unreal. Can't recommend it enough!
Terry was a fantastic host! They were very accommodating letting us check in/ out beyond the agreed upon times which helped tremendously with having a relaxed Sunday and checking out at our leisure. The property is really nice, the pictures do not do this place justice. Every detail is well thought out and you will leave having vacation home envy! Hope to come back every year!
The home was impeccably clean. The pictures and listing definitely did not express how amazing the home and property were. The kitchen was well stocked with the basics. We thankfully were able to have coffee in the morning after our late evening arrival. All of the bathrooms were supplied with the essentials.
There were so many activities for the kids (ping pong, board games, sleds, darts, etc)! The hot tub was also a great addition! We were able to put the kids to bed and the adults sit in the hot tub until late.
The bedrooms has great mattresses and pillows. Tons of extra blankets and pillows.
The best part was the wood stove! A large supply of wood inside, kindling, papers to start the fire. Such a relaxing place to sit in front of the fire and read or nap.
We also had a matter where someone in our party broke a lamp. The owners were very kind and considerate in working with us to rectify the matter.
We cannot wait to stay again!! Such a great rental!!!
Stephen was a great guest. Neat, respectful, good communicator. He is welcome back anytime!

Why they chose this property
We fell in love with the skiing and the quiet of the Western Maine Mountains, after spending several years skiing the busy White Mountains of NH and the Green Mountains of VT. Luck was on our side when we found 5 acres of land with sunsets and mountain views. And then the most fortunate thing was finding the best builder in the region! We have shared our home with friends and family and felt it was time to open it to more folks.
What makes this property unique
This bright and sunny home was designed for families to enjoy each other and yet have quiet times as well. We take enormous pride when guests come to visit and have decided to share the home with others when we are not using it.
We ask you to treat our home with the respect that you'll see it deserves.
