Peniche, located at a peninsula, is a small town in the district of Leiria 90 km north of Lisbon. Good highways reduces the driving time to 1 hour.
Peniche has beaches on all sides. The most charming and child-friendly is Baleal, which also has several good sea food restaurants, cafes and shops. Peniche centre, 5 km from Baleal, has further selection of good restaurants, cafes and shops, and everything else one would need. Peniche/Baleal is also a good base for day trips to Lisbon, the medieval town of Obidos, and other sights such as Alcobaca, Fatima and much more.

On the way of Carvoeiro cape, the apartment complex has 2 swiming pool, small garden for children and garage. The house has 3 bedroms, totally equipped and views over the ocean. Short distance by walk to the beach.

No te fíes. Be carefull

Reservé y pagué con dos meses de antelación y cuando faltaba menos de un mes para el viaje, el propietario canceló la reserva sin ninguna razón Hoy en día ha sido imposible encontrar algo en la zona en las misma condiciones. El me ofreció otro apartamento un 40% más caro. Tengan cuidado. I booked and paid two months in advance and when there was less than a month for the trip , the owner canceled the reservation for no reason Today has been impossible to find anything in the area in the same conditions. He offered me another apartment about 40 % more expensive . Be careful.
