This was our family’s first trip to Barbados, and by coincidence, our host’s first time renting the beautiful Melograno property. As there were no previous reviews of this villa, we were a bit apprehensive. But Alan, (our host) provided clear, comprehensive and helpful information during the booking process - and with patience. At check in, we were welcomed and felt immediately at home at Melograno. This home is depicted in a very accurate manner in the photographs and online video footage. The villa is absolutely lovely and packed with amenities. The pool is a delight, the kitchen is extraordinary, and the list goes on. Melograno is indeed in an excellent location (close to all the action)
- but it is somewhat close to the main west coast road so there is some intermittent vehicular noise. But the sound of the pool’s waterfall and the natural and architectural beauty of this place compensate almost entirely for this (also, one cannot hear traffic at night while inside the home). Alan checked in on us once by telephone during our stay and was genuinely concerned and determined to ensure our family had a wonderful time. He encouraged us to reach out to him if we had any questions or needed assistance. We most certainly did. I recommend Melograno without hesitation and my family and I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to enjoy this wonderful property. Thank you Alan. You are a gracious host, and have an exceptional property. Well done!
