Route 66 Retreat • Walk to Town • Amazing Yard & Fire Pit
Oh Em Gee! This home is ah-mazing! Walking distance to historic Route 66, close to the Grand Canyon, Sedona and so much more.
There are two homes on this large property...book both homes for up to 8 guests. Each home has a private fire pit for privacy.
The open floor plan was designed for the ultimate in entertaining. Enjoy cocktails at sunset on the beautiful veranda (extra large covered porch), or play a fun game of corn hole while bar b queuing in the spectacular back yard by the fire pit.
The stunning back yard is the star of this homestead. Completely revamped in 2020, the natural stone patio extends the living and entertaining space. A custom fire pit built into a rock boulder is the heart of this outdoor oasis. It is flanked by more natural boulder benches, a regulation sized corn hole court, outdoor dining area and so much more. Ambient lighting allows you to celebrate from day into night watching the star-filled nights of Arizona skies.
We furnished this home in the coziest way possible and to be honest, it makes me feel like moving back to Arizona and moving in. It has great energy and is oh-so comfortable. I like to call the style mountain bohemian or boho chic. You could easily call it comfortable and cozy, spacious and serene, or family friendly.
Located two short blocks from Route 66, you can walk to historic downtown Williams where you can dine and shop in the charming downtown. It's even walking distance to the Grand Canyon Railway.
Mountain Digs was completely remodeled in 2019 with lots of room to spread out and enjoy your time in beautiful Northern Arizona. In addition to three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, it features large family and dining rooms. The large day bed in the living room includes a twin sized mattress and is super comfy for sleeping.
The split floor plan allows great privacy for two couples who may be traveling together.
The large living area is open to a beautiful dining and lounge area, great place to enjoy cocktails before dinner or morning coffee as you awaken to the cool pines of Northern Arizona.
The front porch is beautifully inviting with a cushy outdoor sofa and occasional chairs.
There's plenty of on-site parking, as well as ample street parking.
Creating a mountain retreat for guests to love has been a passion project. We have spared no expense in making your stay away from home spectacular. We can’t wait to welcome you to our “nest of rest for those traveling west.”

The house was well supplied and the host has simple extra amenities that made it really special. It was perfect for our family and I would definitely stay there again as well as recommend it.
This was a perfect property for our family. Walking distance to Route 66, all necessary amenities, and enjoyable experience working with Rene. I hope to come back in the future.
This property was wonderful! Very clean and inviting. We enjoyed the backyard fire pit and had a few s’mores that they had provided! We will definitely stay here again!
Perfect home for our Grand Canyon trip. Peaceful, immaculate space, lovely furniture and many amenities. The backyard and fireplace is perfect to unwind after a long day on trails. The smores are a lovely thoughtful surprise. A wonderful home for families and couples alike.
Quality of this place was wonderful! Beautifully decorated, comfortable for the whole family, cozy fireplace inside and so many places to gather and enjoy time together. Perfect place that we truly enjoyed - wish we could have stayed longer.
Beautiful home with a gorgeous backyard! Also the high school is about 4 blocks away which has additional nice grass for the pup! We did a day trip to Sedona and a day trip to the grand canyon! Perfect spot to stay. Lots of restaurants in town which is walkable. We cooked in all 3 nights and the kitchen was great! Would highly recommend.
Super cute house. The host communicated very well and was super quick to answer when asked questions. The house was very well stocked. The backyard and fire pit was super nice.
The house was clean and well-appointed. Renee was very pleasant to work with and very kind! We didn't get to stay long and the weather didnt cooperate for the backyard, but it was a pleasant stay.
What a beautiful home and property. One of the nicest houses we’ve seen downtown. The house was very clean and cozy. They really thought of everything. From maps, guides, inspirational books to a beautiful s’mores basket for the fire pit. I couldn't get enough of the yard. Fonda was very quick to respond when I had a question and she was so sweet and even dropped off crumble cookies for my daughter. Amazing experience. We didn’t want to leave and we will definitely be booking again.
Cute house - was perfect for enjoying a relaxing weekend getaway. An easy walk to the shops on Main Street. Great backyard with a really nice fire pit for evening chats. The house itself was spotlessly clean and comfortable. I would stay here again in a heart beat!
Great property with everything you need for a nice vacation. The s'mores around the fire pit were a nice touch. We're already planning another stay at Mountain Digs!
Very clean. Had everything we needed. A comfortable place to stay for exploring the grand canyon and northern arizona! It was nice to sit by the gas fireplace for morning coffee. It was cold and rainy a good part of our stay, otherwise we would have loved the outdoor gas firepit as well.
Perfect for our family of 6. Clean and beautifully furnished. One hour to the canyon, walkable to cute stores and restaurants on Route 66. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
The home was clean, bright and darling. The beds were comfortable! The front porch and fire pit were our favorite places to hang out after a long day of hiking and sight-seeing.
The house was super comfortable and beautifully decorated. We loved hanging out on the front porch in the morning, and we enjoyed the backyard as well,,,,,used the gas grill, played cornhole, and ate one of our meals outside at the table for 6. We'll definitely be back!!

About the host
Hosted by Rene Brookbank
Hey there! My name is Rene and I am the proud owner of Mountain Digs. I was born and raised in this quaint little town of Williams, Arizona.
I went to kindergarten, grade school and high school here, and I helped my parents run their many businesses, including a motel that we owned and operated for many years.
This town has special meaning to me, and this home does too. My father died in 2019, and left me his darling 1920's home. It needed a little TLC, and that is exactly what I have given it.
It has a 1920's structure, but everything is brand new. I love carrying on my dad's legacy of hosting overnight guests in this mountain retreat of Northern Arizona.
My mother, Fonda, continues to call Williams her home and is available for our guests should they have any needs during their stay. She has been in the hospitality industry in Williams for more than 30 years and understands customer care.
We can't wait for you to cozy up in our mountain retreat! Please contact us if you have any questions.
Why they chose this property
This home is walking distance to adorable downtown Williams and Route 66. It's also close to all of the restaurants, shopping and taverns.
It has many places to congregate and enjoy the company of your party, from the large front covered patio to the beautifully landscaped backyard, complete with a custom fire pit built into a boulder with plenty of seating, a professional sized corn hole court, a private outdoor dining area and gas bbq. The back yard ambiance is highlighted in the evening with beautiful lighting to highlight walkways and uplighting on the trees. Enjoy your friends and family under the magical stars of Northern Arizona.
What makes this property unique
The spacious front porch is one of our guests’ favorite features—and one of the best places to relax! Start your morning with a fresh cup of coffee, unwind with an afternoon cocktail, or simply sit back and enjoy the charming neighborhood. Because the porch is covered, you can enjoy it in nearly every season—even while watching the snow fall outside. Guests consistently tell us it’s one of their favorite places to gather and enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere.
