The interior of the site was fine and offered many amenities but the main photo used by VRBO was misleading. We thought we would be in a one story ranch style CABIN out in the woods. Instead it was a multistory large home in a housing community.

Clean, comfortable getaway

Stacy is a wonderful host. This property is easily accessible, clean, and comfortable. The cupboards even had some things like cooking spray that you might not bring for such a stay.

Great place to stay

Great place to stay with a family. The location is perfect. Had a nice fenced back yard with plenty of room along with a kennel outside for the dogs. Has a deck and a patio area that is private and a sliding glass door access along with back door access all secured with fencing. The kitchen was equipped well and the living/dining area spacious for our entire family to spread out and relax. Messaging was prompt and helpful. Close to Grand Canyon railway. Easy access to Grand Canyon and flagstaff and Sedona. Quaint area to stay if you like a slower pace. We would stay here again!

Can't wait to go back

this was such a great place to use as a central location. We visited Bearazona (5 min drive), Grand Canyon Deer Farm (10 min drive), and the Grand Canyon (1 hr drive) all during our weekend mini vacation. We had some good food thanks to all of the local restaurants that are within a 5 min walk from the house along with all the downtown shops. We can't wait to come back and stay.

House in the pines.

Williams is a great town with a lot of history. The house is just a short distance to the center of town and the Grand Canyon railway, Route 66 and a lot of small town charm. The house was clean and comfortable. The back yard was great for the kids and dog and the patio was perfect for having our morning coffee and playing games. We would defiantly stay again.

Wonderful vacation home.

This is one of the best VRBO's our family has ever stayed in. It is very family friendly. Our 3 year old granddaughter enjoyed the toy's. We planned the trip for our grandchildren to play in the snow for the first time. We didn't even need to leave the house the kids sled and played out back all day in the snow. We definitely will be back if available as we go to Williams in the summer. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with our family.

Good but could be better

This is a decent property that could be great with a few improvements. Pros: Location - It is literally a minute from Downtown Williams. It is on a quiet street with very little traffic. Size - The bedrooms were nice sized and provided enough space for four adults and two kids. Price - The price per night was comparable to other similar sized homes in the area. Cons: Cleanliness - The house was clean-ish. There were many things that could be easily remedied to make it much better. Shortly after arriving our two year old found a red pill under the dining room table (they seem to find everything). Thankfully we were able to grab it from him before he put it in his mouth. Either the rug wasn't vacuumed or it wasn't vacuumed very well. The kitchen counter also wasn't cleaned very well. Everything we moved (Keurig, bread box, toaster) we found crumbs and dirt under. The ceiling fans could also use a good cleaning, there was some major dust built up on the blades. There were three garbage cans on the side of the house, and all three were nearly full when we arrived. There were no instructions on placing them out so I'm not sure how often they are emptied. Bugs - We killed about a dozen spiders, both inside and outside. There were spider webs above the front door and all over the back deck. Landscaping - The backyard is a bit overgrown. We tried to let our toddler play in the fenced area but the weeds were about as high as him. Cameras – There are multiple security cameras outside, which is mentioned in the description. Garage - There is a garage but it is evidently being used for storage and is not usable. This wasn’t disclosed until we received the arrival instructions. Laundry - The washer and dryer are down a STEEP set of stairs. There is also already detergent in the machine so you’re taking a gamble on what they provide. Our daughter has eczema and is sensitive to certain detergents so we were unable to use it for her clothes. We did have to reach out to the owner since we had not received any access instructions after the check-in time. She immediately provided them via email. Our reviews ultimately boil down to if we would rent again and we would rent this house again, but it probably wouldn’t be our first choice.

Great escape from the heat

We traveled with family and had 2 dogs. Set-up was great for the dogs. Plenty of back yard to run around in and a nice enclosed area. Close walk to downtown, but be ready for an incline on the way back. Neighborhood was quiet.

Work - vacation

We had a wonderful time in Williams. We were helping a family on their off-grid property. The house and overall property with a back deck was an awesome repreve from the heat of the day. It was spacious enough for the whole family. Great water pressure and we never run out of hot water.

About the host

Hosted by Stacy and Andrea

Host profile image
Hello! We are Andrea and Stacy, a mother daughter team that wants to share our family home with you!
My parents purchased the home over 25 years ago, and raised myself and four siblings. There are more memories than I could ever type about hiking in the back yard, playing until the street lights turned on, sledding in the back yard, all the way to now, where my mom and I have decided to do some upgrades and share the house with others. My mom currently lives in the Phoenix area, so its great to have the house to come back to on the weekends and cool down.

Why they chose this property

The inside of the home has been transformed into a cozy, updated place to start your journey. The outside of the home may be a work in progress but we appreciate your patience with us on that one. This may be an older home, but it has upgrades and amenities left and right, its close to downtown, yet private enough to feel like you're away. It has been a wonderful home for us, and hope to make it your home away from home for a wonderful vacation.
