Mt. Marathon Suite | Waterfront Views | Private Downstairs Unit
The suite will be entirely your private space. This lower-level, two-bedroom suite features all new furnishings, with queen beds in both bedrooms and blackout shades for a restful night’s sleep. Enjoy beautiful views of Mt. Alice right from the bedrooms.
The living area includes a comfortable space to relax, a flat screen Smart TV (no cable), DVD player, and Wi-Fi. There is also a trundle-style pull-out couch, best suited for one child.
The suite comfortably sleeps 4 guests. A 5th guest (typically a child using the trundle) may be considered with prior approval and an additional fee. If you would like to use the trundle, please request this in advance so bedding can be provided.
The kitchenette is small but fully equipped for simple meals. It is not designed for full cooking or nightly meals. Please note there is no laundry on site, but a laundromat (Suds and Swirl on 3rd Ave) is just a few blocks away.
The full bathroom includes a shower/tub combo and is on the smaller side. Please review photos to ensure the space meets your needs.
Located in downtown Seward, you can easily walk along the waterfront to the harbor, shops, restaurants, the Alaska SeaLife Center, and more.
Guests also have access to the Community Closet, shared between the Mt. Alice and Mt. Marathon Suites. It includes games, puzzles, small kitchen appliances, an iron, fan, and other helpful items. Please return items after use for others to enjoy.
The yard, patio, and grills are available for guest use. The charcoal and gas grills are especially helpful for cooking, as fish and seafood should be prepared outdoors only due to lingering odors in the suite. Please clean the grill after use.
This is a quiet, family property and not suitable for parties or large gatherings. Only registered guests are allowed on the property.
The space is best suited for guests who are comfortable in a cozy layout. While the bedrooms are a good size, the kitchen and bathroom are compact.
For access, please use the side gate along the carport near the trash cans and oil tank. This helps avoid entering neighboring property.
Please note that GPS directions may not always be accurate. Detailed arrival instructions will be provided prior to your stay

Thank you so much for the great stay. We appreciate how well you took care of the place. You were easy to communicate with and a great guest.
Our host Kimberlie is just fantastic. She helped steer us to the best coffee, restaurants, and whale tour in Seward. The location could not be beat for short walks to town or the harbor. We’re going to come back here. Photos from in front of Zudy’s, and from Ressurect Coffee.

Clean, up to date, well stocked home. Great location and the views were breathtaking. One block from the bike trail and easy in and out location. Host was so friendly and we enjoyed our visits with her. Definitely would stay here again on future Seward visits.
We stayed at Kim's place for 4 nights and everything went well as planned. Short distance to water front park, close to all the actions in town. Kim and her place made us feel welcomed from the first minute! Will definitely stay here again!

We thought the property was wonderful. We knew it was small but was cozy and very comfortable. Kimberlee was easy to reach and responded promptly to questions we had. This is the cleanest VRBO we have been in and all standards are followed! We would recommend this property to anyone!

Diana and her guests were wonderful. I enjoyed my conversations with them. They were great with communication and were respectful and kind. The place was left neat and tidy. Diana’s husband was nice enough to help out with the sticky doors too. Thank you for your kindness!!
First of all, Kim is the perfect host. She recommended several places to visit while in Seward. She responded quickly to any questions we may have had. The suite is intimate, cute and VERY clean. It’s located 2 minutes walking distance from the bay! We are a family of 4 (including 2 teenage daughters) and the size was perfect for us. We never need anything large because we are always out and about exploring wherever we go.We would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!

I cannot imagine finding a better place to stay if you are visiting Seward, Alaska. Kimberlie is easy to communicate with and gave us great recommendations of things to do and places to eat. We felt like we knew her forever by the end of our stay. Her place is very clean and has everything that you need for a comfortable stay. It is also centrally located in Seward and the views from the bedroom windows are breathtaking - ocean and mountains. You will not go wrong by staying here!
This little house has everything you could need. It is clean, well supplied, perfectly located and the host is very quick to respond and full of helpful ideas. The details such as a personal welcome note, comfy beds, shampoo and soap, coffee and tea and a community closet full of games and useful items made this home a perfect choice for Seward.

Thank you! We enjoyed hosting you! We appreciate how well you took care of the place. You were quick to respond to messages and polite. You are welcome back anytime!
This place is absolutely stunning; the pictures don’t do it justice. You’re just steps away from the water, and it’s by far the cleanest property I’ve ever stayed at. While there are quite a few rules, they are all reasonable and straightforward—nothing beyond what you’d typically do to maintain your own home. The location is fantastic, and the people are wonderful. Just book it; you won’t be disappointed.
Very good experience, full amenities, good view, quite neighborhood.

About the host
Hosted by Kimberlie Fister
I am in constant ahhh... of how beautiful the scenery is in Seward, Alaska. After all these years, I just can’t get enough of the beauty and the friendly community I call home. After college, I left California and moved to Maui, Hawaii. I made my way to Seward, Alaska from Maui in 1995. From there I commuted between Seward and Maui. I loved Alaska so much that I permanently moved to Seward in 2001. Back then you could find me working in any of the many restaurants, bars, or touring company. I have lots of knowledge of the area and willing to help with your travel needs.
I am currently a ELL teacher, English as a Second Language, in Anchorage, Alaska. I enjoy teaching students to open their minds to new learning and new views of the world. I feel so lucky to have the summers off in Seward and that I get to explore Alaska. I typically spend my summers hiking, biking, camping, boating, barbecuing, and fishing. I try to get out any chance I get when I am not in the garden or not working on the house.
This is truly a place I love and it is my hope that you will love it as much as I do. It has been a dream of mine since 2001 to host nightly rentals in Seward. I am finally making my dreams come true. Thank you for being a part of my dreams and I appreciate each and every guest that comes through the Mt. Alice Waterfront Suites.

The apartment will be entirely your space. Please note that the front yard, back yard, grill, and patio are shared among the Mt. Alice Suite guests and the Mt. Marathon Suite guests.
